Airways Hotel is a budget accommodation hotel located in the heart of London, within easy access to all major London Tourist attractions – Big Ben, House of Parliament, Tate Gallery, and Buckingham Palace are all within a 30 min walking distance. All the main attractions of the city are within easy reach; a short walk to the King’s Road, the Chelsea Flower Show, and the Hard Rock Café while access to all of London is a piece of cake through Victoria Rail, Tube and Coach Station and the Gatwick Express Terminal at Victoria.
The Airways Hotel is made up of 39 en-suite bedrooms sympathetically decorated and furnished to suit business and sightseeing visitors alike. We have single, double, twin and family rooms that can sleep up to five people. All rooms have convenience facilities including a colour television with CNN and Eurosport, a direct-dial telephone, hairdryer and a complimentary hospitality tray. Extra blankets and soft pillows are also provided for your added comfort. We have recently introduced wireless internet* in most of our rooms which has been very popular with our business guests. All rooms have a centrally heated radiator with thermostatic temperature control to suit your personal needs and selected rooms have a fitted air conditioning unit with heating and cooling functions. A complimentary continental breakfast is included with all bookings however we also offer Full English Breakfast* in the morning.

The Hotel has a 24 hour Reception and you will always find a Receptionist on duty at any time of day for your safety and convenience. We also have safety deposit lockers* in the Reception as well as cold drinks for sale. We exchange Dollars and Euros for pounds at the Reception. For your information, we do not have a lift as we have been denied permission to install one due to our Grade II listed building status. However we can assist you with your luggage should you need help. A short-term baggage storage facility is available to our guests prior to check in and after check out however storage of luggage for longer periods of time can be arranged*.

For our sight seeing guests we have a full range of sightseeing tour tickets, including the Original Tour and Big Bus Company sightseeing tours. We also sell advanced prepaid entrance tickets for all major tourist attractions of London such as the

• London Zoo

These are sold at the same price as at the attraction, however by buying from us you save lots of time as you do not have to queue at the attraction to buy the tickets. We are also official ticket agents for Golden Tours, a reputable tour company offering day tours of London, and many parts of the UK including Stonehenge, Bath, Windsor, Oxford and Edinburgh. The tours take off from Victoria Station which is less than 10 minutes walk from the Hotel and all tours can be booked at the Reception at your convenience.

The Airways Hotel is conveniently located close to restaurants and local amenities which more than make up for the absence of a restaurant or bar on the premises. Cash points, post offices, banks, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants can all be found within a 15 minutes walk of the Hotel.

Victoria Station houses the nearest Train, Underground and Bus station to the Hotel. It is one of the major stations of London and as a result it has links to all parts of London and the UK including the major Airports. The Hotel is well located to suit those interested in art, shopping or the sights.

For our potential guests travelling by car, the secure Masterpark (Pimlico), a couple of blocks from the hotel, provides a safe, secure and economical place to park your car whilst visiting London. Parking on the street outside the hotel is free all weekend and after 6.30pm on weekday evenings until 8.30am the following morning. Meter parking bays are also located in the adjacent street.

Getting There Victoria is the closest train and underground station. Just five minutes walk.

As you exit, walk down Buckingham Palace Road, until you reach the Victoria Coach Station on your right,turn left, over the railway bridge, which leads to St. Georges Drive.
Parking Pay & Display metered parking between 08h30 and 18h30 available outside the hotel(FREE outside of the above times, over weekends and public holidays) £2.40 per hour for a maximum of 4 hours. Please ensure that you have a valid parking ticket when parking in the metered bays and do not park in any residence parking. The areas are clearly signposted.

Buckingham Palace:
Buckingham Palace has served as the official London residence of Britain's sovereigns since 1837. It evolved from a town house that was owned from the beginning of the eighteenth century by the Dukes of Buckingham. Today it is The Queen's official residence. Although in use for the many official events and receptions held by The Queen, areas of Buckingham Palace are opened to visitors on a regular basis.

The State Rooms of the Palace are open to visitors during the Annual Summer Opening in August and September. They are lavishly furnished with some of the greatest treasures from the Royal Collection - paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens, Vermeer, Poussin, Canaletto and Claude; sculpture by Canova and Chantrey; exquisite examples of Sèvres porcelain; and some of the finest English and French furniture in the world.

Visits to Buckingham Palace can be combined with visits to The Queen's Gallery, which reopened in May 2002. The nearby Royal Mews is open from 5 March to 31 October 2005.

Houses of Parliament:
A tour of this fascinating building will reveal the political history of the UK, together with the Houses of Commons + House of Lords. Tours start from £7 per person.

Westminster Abbey:
Dating back to the Anglo-Saxon era, the Westminster Abbey is an architectural masterpiece of Britain. This structure is almost 1000 years old, from the time of Edward the Confessor. The oldest door in Britain is situated in the Westminster Abbey. The door opens into the Abbey Cloisters, the Octagonal Chapter House, chapels, libraries and archives. These are the other impressive monuments to be found here.

Tate Gallery:
The Tate Gallery is the national gallery of British art. Located in central London, it is one among the group of four Tate galleries which display classic art collection.
This gallery is the home for the greatest of British art through the ages. From the days of the Tudor monarchs to the present day, this gallery contains all major art creations. Some of the great works found here are those of William Hogarth, Spencer and Francis Bacon.

River Thames:
The Thames River is one of the greatest assets of Britain. A part of this 215 miles long river flows through central London. Every foot of this river has a history to speak of. Palaces, churches, cathedrals are dotted all along. Apart from its historical value, there are superb cruises to be enjoyed at the Thames, with boating, fishing and canoeing. There are also a lot of restaurants and pubs along the river, some of which are part of the river's history. These eateries range from really expensive to cheap, depending on your budget.

West End:
West End mainly consists of commercial theatres in London, where popular plays are staged. These are generally big budget productions with huge amounts of money spent on them. Theatre of all kinds features here, including comedies, tragedies and musicals. Some of the shows are long runners. Prices of tickets vary from 7 pounds to 50 pounds.
