The Casa Bella is a NZ Qualmark 3.5 Star rated motel situated close to central Paihia, gateway to the Bay of Islands. We offer a friendly warm welcome to all our guests from family group, to travellers and those enjoying the fruits of their labours after a full working life. We have 19 Studio units and 2 one-bedroom units all are self-contained and serviced daily. On site we have a swimming pool, spa pool and bbq area as well as access to three astro-turf tennis courts. The beach is a two minute walk away and there are numerous restaurants between the Casa Bella Motel and central Paihia which is just a short ten minute stroll away. We have a free booking service for local tours and attractions and we would be happy to assist with your plans. Paihia is a great central place to base yourself while exploring Northland and the many attractions it has to offer, such as the Bay of Islands, the far north tip of New Zealand at Cape Reinga and Ninety Mile Beach or West to the Hokianga Harbour a cradle of history and home to the giant Kauri tree Tane Mahuta. |

| Getting There |
From Auckland International Airport: Make your way towards Auckland City till you reach State Highway One and head north across the Auckland Harbour Bridge. From the Bridge you are approximately 3 and a half hours from Paihia. Keep heading north through Orewa, Wellsford, and Whangarei. At Whangarei you are just under an hour from Paihia. Head north till you reach Kawakawa where you will see State Highway one turns left into the Kawakawa township and route 11 goes straight ahead towards Paihia (approximately 16 kilometres). When you reach Paihia you will enter a 50 Kilometre an hour speed zone just as you go over the last hill before entering the township proper. Carry on over the hill and MacMurray Road is on your left just at the bottom of the hill. The Casa Bella Motel is 50 metres along MacMurray on your right. From Kerikeri (Bay of Islands) Airport: Taxi or shuttle takes approximately 25 minutes, and costs approximately NZ$50. If driving from the Kerikeri Airport, turn left out of the Airport Gate and head towards Kerikeri township. When you get to the State Highway 10 intersection you turn right at the round-about and follow the road South for about 7 kilometres till you reach Puketona Road on your left which is well sign-posted for Paihia. Stay on Puketona Road till you reach the Waterfront and turn right at the round about. Go along the waterfront ast the Wharf and Maritime Building on your left till you see Kings Road on your right. Turn right onto Kings Road then left onto MacMurray Road. The Casa Bella is just past the tennis courts on your left. By Bus: Bus Services leave daily from Auckland City and bring your right into Paihia township. We can arrange a local pick up for you by courtesy car. |

| Things To Do |
Paihia is a great central place to base yourself from while exploring Northland and the many attractions it has to offer. Paihia is the gateway to the Bay of Islands, and you have easy access to Waitangi, the treaty grounds and Russell, the first Capital of New Zealand. Within half an hours drive there is KeriKeri, the Puketi Kauri Forest or Ngawha geothermal hot springs. Tours leave Paihia daily for the far north tip of New Zealand at Cape Reinga and Ninety Mile Beach or west to the Hokianga Harbour a cradle of history and home to the Giant Kauri tree Tane Mahuta. There are glowworm caves and for the adventurous sailing, Para sailing and Quad biking not to mention having some of the best fishing available in the Bay of Islands and the Pacific. For Golfers The Waitangi Golf Course is very close and KeriKeri Golf Club just half an hour away. Further north the exclusive Kauri Cliffs Golf Course is not for the faint hearted and Carrington Golf Course is just over an hours drive north from Paihia. |
