Craigieburn offers a premium Southern Highlands venue for Weddings, Conferences or a leisurely stay. The property was originally built in 1887 as a private country homestead and operated as a grazing property until 1909. The property was sold and re-established as a country retreat and guest house and maintained an enviable reputation as one of the Southern Highlands premiere guest houses with families returning each year from first to third generations. Many famous guests have visited over the years, but of course Craigieburn remains discreet. Craigieburn Resort completed a multi-million dollar refurbished programme in 2003. Reflecting the style and elegance of the original Craigieburn the transformation of the interiors with stylish modern décor and artworks has established Craigieburn as one of the Southern Highlands premiere venues for leisure stays, conferencing, retreats and weddings. The 36 hectare country estate boasts its own private 9 hole golf course for exclusive guest use and new guest facilities include a trout-filled lake for fly fishing, gymnasium, billiards room, and beauty therapy room. The conference facility upgrades include a choice of two rooms with natural light and French doors leading onto landscaped gardens and terraces. | Getting There |
Take the M5 freeway, and after approximately 80 minutes drive, exit at the Mittagong / Bowral turn off onto the old Hume Highway. Take the lefthand fork on to Bowral road (at the traffic lights by the clock tower in Mittagong). After approximately 3.3km, turn right into Kirkham Road and Craigieburn, then right over the small bridge into Centennial Road. Craigieburn is approximately 1km on the right hand side. |
