Breath-taking, panoramic views of sea and mountains from your own private deck or patio are yours at The Heights, high in the hills overlooking historic Thames, gateway to Coromandel, Whitianga, Tairua, Whangamata, Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach. Indulge yourself with Qualmark 4 Star Plus luxury B&B accommodation in an intimate, romantic atmosphere. The Heights is a special retreat where you can pamper yourself your first or last evening in NZ or while exploring the Coromandel and Waikato. We've deliberately kept our offerings down to accommodation for two couples so that we can give you all the special extra attention you'd like. We really love sharing with our guests the things that make the Coromandel special. We're close to beaches, hiking, restaurants, shopping and museums. Within an hour of all Coromandel attractions and only 1.5 hours from Auckland International Airport. We offer two spacious guest rooms with king beds, ensuite, private deck or patio, private entrance, TV/DVD, coffee/tea making facilities, fridge, and luxury amentities. Plus there's a separate guest lounge. For the consideration of our guests and to help you enjoy New Zealand's pure air, our home is a non-smoking area. The property has two friendly cats (and one very shy one). We welcome you with a beverage and snack upon arrival. In the evenings we provide a turndown service with home-made cookies or another treat. Complimentary transport to/from local restaurants is available. Light to full dinner is available upon pre-arrangement ($20-60 per person). Our home includes a tranquil, secluded, park-like garden with BBQ area, and lawn sports. You are welcome to relax in our garden spa. Our home is tastefully furnished with antiques and family heirlooms. The Heights is surrounded by a half acre of professionally designed landscaping, but because of our unique setting where the town meets the farmland and bush, it feels like a lot more space. Try a game of croquet or boules (petanque). Bird watch. We'll be happy to loan you our binoculars and guide books. Have a relaxing soak in the spa. Or just sit back and enjoy Mother Nature. Speaking of Mother Nature, in March 2009 The Heights became the first property in The Coromandel to receive an environmental award from Qualmark, New Zealand's official rating agency. The Enviro Silver award recognises our efforts towards sustainability, so you can stay with us and rest assured your hosts are caring for the environment, without sacrificing the luxury you expect from Four Star Plus accommodation. |
