This suburban hotel is 5 minutes from the city centre, just off the Southern Motorway, and a short walk from Carisbrook. You only have to walk downstairs to the three bars to talk Highlanders rugby, drink the beer of Southern Men, and eat real food in a down-to-earth restaurant that feeds its regulars so well that North & South magazine has twice written it up as a must-eat bistro of Dunedin. There are a variety of rooms available: 2 Single rooms with shared bathroom facilities; 1 Small Double room with shared bathroom facilties; 1 Queen room with shared bathroom facilities; 1 Compact Queen room with ensuite; 1 Premium room with queen bed and ensuite. Every room is serviced daily. Coffee and tea-making facilities, TV, Fridge, Microwave and supplies for a continental breakfast are in the common guest lounge. From the south, take a right at the bottom of the Southern Motorway hill (at the sign to Carisbrook), right again on to David Street. You’ll find us on Forbury Corner, cnr Fitzroy and Hillside Road. From the north, follow the Northern Motorway through town and on to the Southern Motorway. Turn left at the bottom of the big hill (at the sign to Carisbrook), and right on to David St. You’ll find us on Forbury Corner, cnr Fitzroy and Hillside Road. |

| Things To Do |
The hotel is a one-stop shop for a decent meal, quiet drink and a try on the pokies or horses. Walking distance to Carisbrook, close to St Clair and Chisholm Park golf courses, several bowling clubs and Forbury Park trotting track. St Clair beach and the Esplanade is just down the road. It takes just 5 minutes to get on to the Otago Peninsula tourist drive or it’s a 5 minute into town for a shop or movie. |
