For your holidays in Chianti, a delightful hamlet of houses built around a fortified castle dating back to the 12th century which gave origin to the charming little town of Greve in Chianti. Montegonzi is situated in a quiet and panoramic location, nestling deep amidst vineyards and olive groves and offering beautiful extensive views over the surrounding landscape. This hamlet has been recently and skilfully restored preserving its architectural original features and using ancient stones and materials. To make your holidays in Chianti simply perfect, the property comprises comfortable apartments of various sizes, all of which nicely decorated in a Tuscan rustic style. At guests’ disposal: beautiful garden furnished with sun-beds, sun-umbrellas and tables, swimming pool (12 x 6 m – maximum depth 1,5 m – open from 01/05 to 30/09) situated in panoramic location, shared barbecue, private furnished outdoor area for each apartment. Shared washing-machine, iron and hairdryer available on request. The access to the property is via an unpaved road not suitable for sports cars. Covered parking within the grounds. Maid service available by arrangement (payment on the spot). Montegonzi Castle, offers various kinds of apartments, all with private space outdoor and a beautiful view on the surrounding hills. |

| Getting There |
From the highway: A1 Bologna-Roma, Firenze Certosa Exit, then, after the toll-both, go straight down at the roundabout following directions to Greve in Chianti.The road is SS222, best known as Chiantigiana road.Go straight down till Panzano in Chianti ( about 30Km ) and then turn right direction Mercatale (you will find a sign).Continue straight for about 4 km and then turn right when you will find a sign on the road indicating “Montegonzi”. Two more km of unpaved road following directions to “Montegonzi” and you will be arrived to your destination. |

At disposal of all guests there are also barbeques and a washing machine in the commune laundry. In summer we organize dinners by the pool and wine tasting tours to the castle in front of us, Montefioralle Castle. Greve is located between Firenze and Siena and also close to famous places like : Certaldo, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni and many others.In the surroundings of Greve, it is possible to take beautiful walks, horse riding and cycling in a splendid countryside. All guests can participate to organized mountain-bike tours, recommended shopping in the outlets, cooking or pottery lessons, wine tasting tours. We provide tickets to the museums of Florence, guided tours in groups or individual with private driver, service to/from airports and many other activities according to the period.We also have facilities at the nearby “Ugolino Golf Club” which is only 15 km away from Greve. Distances: the charming little village of Panzano in Chianti with all kinds of shops 5 km, Greve in Chianti 10 km (Greve in Chianti is also reachable on foot in 2 km only), Florence 35 km, Siena 35 km.
