A scenic drive by car 2 hours from Burnie. 1.5 hours from Cradle Mountain, 3.5 hours from Launceston and 4 hours from Hobart. Road coach services operate from Queenstown to the north-west, Cradle country and Hobart. The West Coaast Wilderness Railway operates between Strahan and Queenstown daily. (Tour times will change during winter season). |

Chancellor Inn Quuenstown can also book your tickets for the West Coast Wilderness Railway or the Gorden River Cruises. Who knows you might what to do both (a savings of 10% off) if both tickets booked at the same time. Please contact the hotel once you have booked your Accomadation through & we will book you tickets for you. Take a tour of the Mt Lyell Copper Mine founded in 1896, or ride the restored rack and pinion West Coast Wilderness Railway through pristine wilderness from the Queenstown Railway station to historic Strahan. Experience the legendary Gordon River with a day cruise from Strahan. A visit to the Gallery Museum will reveal the history of this fascinating region. Bushwalkers, ornithologists and nature lovers can enjoy many walks from this convenient base. |
