Riverstone Lodge provides boutique luxury accommodation in the spectacular Waihopai Valley only 10kms from Blenheim airport, Marlborough. This rural retreat is set amongst a 35acre hazelnut, olive farm and boutique vineyard on the boundary of the Waihopai River and surrounded by the majestic Richmond and Kaikoura ranges. 4 Star Plus Qualmark rating and recipient of Tourism Excellence Award in 2005. There is a separate wing for a total of four guests plus an extra room with ensuite for your chauffeur if required. Both the Aubergine and Olive room have superking beds (or king singles), private ensuite with robes, fridge, complimentary mini-bar, teas and freshly ground coffee plus a daily fruit bowl. The rooms contain a hair dryer, ironing facilities and a security safe. Each room has a separate entry from a private patio with commanding views of the Richmond Ranges and another entry from a sheltered courtyard/barbecue area. As our guests, you begin your day with a wholesome cooked breakfast featuring orchard picked fruit, farm fresh produce, home baked bread and preserves served in our modern kitchen or out on the sunny patio. Should you choose to dine with us, you can relax and share pre-dinner drinks out in the courtyard or in the lounge before enjoying seasonal cuisine with fine Marlborough wines. Alternatively we can make dinner reservations for you at a range of local restaurants including New Zealand's renowned Herzog's Luxury Restaurant. Within walking distance of the purpose-built Metiterranean-style lodge are fields of lavender, vineyards, olive groves and the clear waters of the Waihopai River. To enhance your Lodge experience personalised tours can be arranged with your host. These include off-road adventures, farm visits, cellar door tastings and general sightseeing. Riverstone Lodge provides the perfect base to enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities, to sample Marlborough's famous sauvignon blanc at local wineries, go fishing or cruising or just relax in our private garden absorbing the peace and amazing scenery and letting us take care of you. |

From Blenheim take State Highway 6 to Nelson. Turn left onto State Highway 63(main road to the West Coast). Second left into Waihopai Valley Raod (approx 3kms - by Grove Mill Winery). Travel 7.5kms taking first right into Shandon Road. Riverstone Lodge is at 162 (ie 1.62kms). |

There are many walking and hiking tracks including Queen Charlotte Walkway, the Lydia Track, Wither Hills Farm Park and five golf courses to choose from. Guided tours include Flyfish Marlborough, Dolphin Watch Eco-Tours - sea and birdlife, Driftwood Eco Tours for coastal birdwatching, Greenshell Mussel Cruises, Molesworth Station 4WD Tours- an historic high country cattle station or Riverboat cruises. To treat and pamper yourselves there is the Aromassage Day Spa, Makana Boutique Chocolate Factory, the Millennium Art Gallery or visit the Farmer's Market. (summer only) |
