The Hotel was built in the early 1900s and was subsequently enlarged and modified several times, until it was completely restored and refurbished in the last few years.

Hotel Firenze faces the Central Railway Station of La Spezia and is within walking distance from the town centre. It is ideally situated for all visitors who intend to visit La Spezia and its well-known neighbours: Cinque Terre, Portovenere, Lerici, and so on - all of which are easily reached by car, railway, or ferry.

Hotel Firenze was completely refurbished with the purpose of recreating the atmosphere of the period in which it was first built. All details of the decorations (wood panelling, marble floors, brass lamps, wall paintings) have been carefully designed with that original idea in mind.

Built around the Military Arsenal ,the town has elegant Art Nouveau architecture, large gardens and important archaeological collections. There are many attractive places to visit nearby, especially the five enchanting villages called the Cinque Terre, perched above the Ligurian Sea.You must also go to the natural parks in the area,at Cinque Terre and Porto Venere. The shopping street in la Spezia are Via Veneto, Via Chiodo , the old Via del Prione and Corso Cavour. The daily food market is in piazza Cavour.
