The motel draws its name from a great explorer and botanist Allan Cunningham who explored the Darling Downs in 1827. Cunningham's Gap and the Cunningham Highway in the State's south east are named after him. The Architecture and theme of the Motel is to commemorate those earlier explorers and the double brick construction certainly eliminates those external noises. All refurbishments are completed with this theme in mind.

The Motel is centrally located just 2 kilometers from the Toowoomba CBD, situated at 808 Ruthven Street (New England Highway) close to Shopping Centers and Clubs with a fully licensed Restaurant, where a FREE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST is offered to all our guests, on each morning of their stay. The Motel offers a saltwater Pool with BBQ and undercover parking.

The Motel has 24 Units/Apartments which are serviced daily. They all have separate bathrooms with filtered water taps and reverse cycle Air-Conditioning. New large flat screened Digital LCD Televisions have just been fitted, on adjustable wall mounted brackets, to watch those free Austar Movies or Sports Programs. A cleaning program with Healthy Hotels is in place to add to your comfort and make your stay more enjoyable.

Getting There	From Brisbane, turn left at the top of the Range and continue along James to its intersection with Ruthven Street (New England Highway). Turn left into Ruthven Street and follow it along for 3-5 minutes. We are next to the Shell Service Station on the corner of Ruthven and Alderley Streets. From Dalby, head east along Bridge Street (the Warrego Highway) until the intersection with Tor Street. Turn right into Tor Street and continue along Tor Street to James Street. Continue east on James Street and turn right into Ruthven Street (New England Highway). Follow it along for 3-5 minutes and we are next to the Shell Service Station on the corner of Ruthven and Alderley Streets. From Warwick, head north straight along the New England Highway. As you enter Toowoomba the Highway becomes Ruthven Street. Pass K-Mart Plaza and cross Stenner Street. We are next to the Shell Service Station on the corner of Ruthven and Alderley Streets. From Crowsnest, head south straight along the New England Highway. As you enter Toowoomba the Highway becomes Ruthven Street. Go through the centre of town and contine along Ruthven Street.
