Cradle Chalet features 4½ star accommodation and dining on the edge of Tasmania's tranquil Cradle Mountain wilderness and is renowned for combining the natural beauty of the area with the intimacy, privacy and personal touch of a boutique luxury lodge. 8 double chalets, (2 with spa baths). Note: Cradle Chalet does not cater for or accommodate children from (0 to 14) years of age. Note: TV reception is not always available. Cradle Chalet Restaurant (Dinner reservations are essential 24 hours prior to check-in) offers a wide ranging menu of both traditional comfort foods and more contemporary dishes featuring fresh, local produce. Open to guests and visitors the restaurant is the perfect place to unwind on the sunny balcony in summer or beside the roaring fire in winter. Surrounded by the best of Tasmania's world famous natural beauty, and only a short trip from the stunning Cradle Mountain and Dove Lake, Cradle Chalet is the ideal base from which to explore the unique local wilderness walks or discover the other varied attractions of the region - from wineries, cheese and chocolates to caves & antiques. Cradle Chalet is a little different to many of the accommodation options in the Cradle Mountain region having developed a reputation as a unique, privately owned and operated, boutique, wilderness lodge focused on catering to smaller numbers of guests with more personal service. Cradle Chalet's luxury forest chalets and suites have been purpose built to create a unique wilderness retreat/mountain getaway for couples, singles and other adult groups wanting to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay. • Both chalets and suites are beautifully appointed, with an enormous amount of thought put into the rooms. | Getting There |
To travel to Cradle Chalet Boutique Luxury Lodge requires a car as we do not have transfers and you will need a car to visit the local attractions. IMPORTANT TRAVEL NOTES: Moina is a wilderness location so it is essential to analyse the map and be aware of driving times and road considerations before you leave on your trip to Cradle Chalet. • It is preferable to arrive before night fall because after dark it is more difficult to navigate (and you may be sharing the roads with the local wildlife!) • It is certainly not necessary to have a four-wheel drive vehicle as all the main roads are sealed and in good condition. It is however always good practice to allow plenty of time to arrive at your point of destination because of the winding, mountainous roads and unpredictable weather conditions.
