Casa Favilla is a colourful, stylish and well appointed Bed & Breakfast, as may be expected from the 4.5 star (AAAT) rating. It is located on the Great Ocean Rd, in Apollo Bay. The water is about 300 metres away in three different directions. It is also less than 400 m to the nearest hotel or restaurant. The main lounge room (common area) is beautiful as the photos will indicate. We have 3 air conditioned rooms with queen size beds, Italian style en-suite, LCD TV and refrigerator. Each room has tea/coffee facilities and a minibar. Guests often express surprise that it looks better to them than the photos would suggest. The front decking area gets afternoon sun and is perfect for reading the afternoon paper with a glass of wine. The partly sheltered rear decking is spacious and overlooks the garden. It is more secluded than the front area, but faces east and receives morning sun, making it ideal for breakfast, while the garden itself is popular in summer for small groups on a hot afternoon before dinner. The upstairs balcony has breathtaking views in most directions, but is only available at the discretion of the owners. The local Barham River can be viewed from the front rooms of the house, with the beach and ocean also visible behind. Recent external modifications have made the rear decking area more secluded than before. |

| Getting There |
There is a bus service to Apollo Bay from Geelong, which stops outside the local information service. The local taxi service will take you to Casa Favilla from anywhere in the town for AUD$5. |
| Parking |
Free off street parking is available for one car per room rented. Extra parking is available on the street. A secure parking spot may be available under some circumstances. |
| Things To Do |
The Great Ocean Walk goes right by the front door of Casa Favilla. The local golf course is 200 metres away, while the wharf and pier are only slightly further. Fishing trips are a feature in summer. The Saturday morning Outdoor Market is a 5 or 6 minute walk away, while the occasional indoor market is less than half that distance. Scenic air trips over the local area, including the Twelve Apostles, are available over summer. The local air strip is less than 2km away. There are numerous local restaurants within easy walking distance, while both local hotels are less than a 5 minute walk. Surfing is popular in summer, with the patrolled beach only 5 minutes away. |
