The Grassmarket Hotel occupies a key location in Edinburgh city centre, located in the historic Grassmarket area, only two minutes walk from The Royal Mile. The history and culture of Edinburgh is not only on your doorstep, but as a busy social area, The Grassmarket has a wide array of bars, restaurants and speciality shops, and which comes to life in the evenings with a mix of students, Edinburgh residents and visitors to the city. With such attractions as Ghost Tours, Greyfriars Bobby and The National museum of Scotland, you will not be short of things to do during your stay in Edinburgh. The hotel consists of 45 en-suite bedrooms of a 2 star standard, each offering television, hairdryer, telephone and tea & coffee making facilities. The hotel operates on a room only basis, however, in the morning a Full Scottish breakfast is available in Biddy Mulligans Pub, which served by our friendly staff, combine to form a great start to any day in Edinburgh. Biddy Mulligans Pub is the perfect place to enjoy Edinburgh's social scene. With an Irish theme and a lively, fun atmosphere offering a wide range of drinks and an extensive daily food menu. Playing host to a range of live music with local bands and musicians taking centre stage seven nights a week, Biddy Mulligans is also any true sports fans destination to watch their favourite event with live coverage of all major sporting events. Edinburgh Waverley train station is five minutes walk away from the hotel and Edinburgh airport only 7 miles making transport links very easy and accessible. Due to our central location, parking is not available, however discounted daily and overnight parking rates have been negotiated with NCP Castle Terrace car park, a mere 5 minute walk from the hotel. |

| Getting There |
From Airport - There is a bus from the airport which costs approx £3 single, £5 return Alight the bus at Waverley Bridge. Turn right and go straight ahead up Cockburn Street, at the top cross over Hunters Square and down into Blair Street. Turn Right at the bottom into the Cowgate continue for 250 yards to the Grassmarket. The Hotel is the first building on your right. From Waverley Train Station - Turn left out of the main station exit onto Waverly Bridge and follow direction as above. By Car from City Bypass - Exit at the Sheriffhall Roundabout from the A68. Continue down Dalkeith Road towards the City Centre until you reach the Pleasance. Turn left into the Cowgate continue over the roundabout to the Grassmarket and the hotel is the first building on your right. |

The Grassmarket Hotel offers parking at the Castle Terrace car park just 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Guests can get their parking ticket validated at reception where they will receive a 20% discount on parking. |
