BAY OF PLENTY LODGES with it's magnificent secluded coastline, clean air & unhurried pace is reached by a 13km drive on an unsealed road through Booderee National Park, Jervis Bay Territory. The sound of the ocean replaces the noise of traffic, native wildlife abounds as kangaroos hop through the grounds and native parrots skim through trees. The backdrop is of forest not buildings. It is a rare escape from the stresses of modern life. Guests can enjoy surfing on Bherwerre Beach or swimming in the calm waters of Sussex Inlet. Go fishing, kayaking, snorkelling, diving, bush walking, boating or bike riding - or just plain relax. BAY OF PLENTY LODGES offers stylish 1, 2 & 3 bedroom self contained cottages, cabins and units ranging from comfortable to luxurious, all fully equipped including linen, bath towels, cutlery and crockery and cookware, and all opening onto shaded decks, most with views over landscaped grounds. Accommodation is self catering and facilities include a central BBQ area and childrens' playground as well as direct beach access and a boat ramp. Individual lodging is available for as few as two people and as many as six, at tariffs to suit most budgets. FOOD & SUPPLIES Some basic food items can be purchased in the office at Bay of Plenty Lodges. We recommend that you bring at least sufficient supplies of food and drink for your first full day and if possible your entire stay. LINEN - is provided in all accommodation with main bed made up and bottom sheets made up on all other beds with top sheets and doonas folded on the bed. Clean linen and towels are provided on arrival only, and for longer stays a clean linen pack is provided every 7 days. A daily laundry service is not provided. You must bring your own Beach towels. WHAT TO BRING The atmosphere is casual and relaxed so dress accordingly. Beach towels, sunscreen, hats and comfortable footwear are essential, also don't forget surfboards, fishing rods and bikes (if you have room) and if you have binoculars these are excellent for observing native birds and other wildlife on bushwalks. NO PETS ALLOWED Due to National Park regulations no pets are allowed. |

| Getting There |
FROM SYDNEY (distance approximately 200 km, travel time is 2.5 to 3.5 hrs) take the Princes Highway south through Wollongong, Kiama and Nowra. Turn left into Jervis Bay Road. FROM CANBERRA (distance approximately 280 km, travel time 3 to 4 hours) take the Kings Highway through Bungendore and Braidwood to Batemans Bay, then travel north along the Princes Highway to Tomerong. At Tomerong take the right turn to Huskisson and Jervis Bay and then turn right again into Jervis Bay Road. FOOD & SUPPLIES - Have you brought your food supplies. Your accommodation is self-catering, so it is essential that you bring at least sufficient supplies of food and drink for your first full day, and if possible your entire stay. Basic food items only are available at Bay of Plenty Lodges Office. ONCE ON JERVIS BAY ROAD (do not turn off this road) follow it until you reach the Booderee National Park gate house and Tourist Information Centre (National Park entrance fees are payable). 75 metres past the gate house at the round-a-bout turn right into Ellmoos Road (sign posted to Bay of Plenty Lodges, this is an unsealed road. Follow this road for 13 km bearing left at each intersection to Bay of Plenty Lodges. |
| Parking |
All cottages and cabins are allocated one (1) parking space. Parking space is limited so please, only one vehicle per unit unless otherwise arranged with management. If you are expecting visitors or want to bring a boat trailer please check with Management to ensure there is sufficient parking space. |

BAY OF PLENTY LODGES can be used as a base to explore the historic surrounding districts, its relaxed atmosphere and tranquil beachfront location surrounded by National Park lead most guests to relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of swimming, bushwalking, boating, reading and in the evening meeting fellow guests at the central barbecue facilities. BOODEREE NATIONAL PARK - along with Uluru and Kakadu National Parks is one of three operated by the Environment Australia (the Commonwealth National Parks Service) occupies the majority of Jervis Bay Territory. BOODEREE National Park is a place of great history and contrast. Towering sandstone coastal cliffs guard rainforests and eucalypt forests from the awesome might of the ocean, tranquil waters are a short walk through coastal heath from surfing beaches such as Bherwerre Beach, Murray Beach, Steamers Beach & Caves Beach. The park offers the opportunity for many recreational activities in a magnificent unspoilt setting. HUSKISSON, VINCENTIA & THE ST. GEORGE'S BASIN areas are located approx. 25km (30 minutes away) Here there are a variety of shops and supermarkets as well as Dolphin and Whale watching cruises, golf courses, indoor and outdoor bowling clubs, museums, art gallerys and vineyards. In these areas, there Clubs and Pubs as well as a variety of Restaurants including Thai, Italian, Indian, Mexican, Chinese & Modern Australian. |
