On Riva degli Schiavoni, overlooking the Venice lagoon and islands, masterfully restored Hotel Danieli welcomes guests to legendary palaces and over six centuries of history, culture and romance. You'll find us just steps from Piazza San Marco, St. Mark's Basilica, and legendary sites such as the Doge's Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. Condè Nast Traveller named us to its 2006 and 2007 Gold List Reserve and in recognition of our service excellence, we also proudly received American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts' "2007 Partner of the Year" award. Extending throughout three palaces which date from the 14th to the 20th centuries, our 225 guestrooms and suites are decorated in materials indigenous to the rich cultural heritage of Venice. Guests are welcomed to sumptuous, elegant surroundings, some of which feature antique furnishings, precious fabrics and luxurious marble bathrooms, and many of which look out onto the Venice lagoon. All guestrooms and suites offer plush Luxury Beds, high-speed internet access, flat screen LCD TV's, deluxe bath amenities and air-conditioning. Bringing Venetian culture alive is Palazzo Dandolo, our oldest palace, which once belonged to the Venetian noble family Dandolo. A Venetian gothic landmark, this 14th Century palace is lavishly appointed with pink marble, stained glass, gold leaf, Murano glass chandeliers, and antiques. Each guest room and suite in Palazzo Dandolo is unique. Restyled by famous design architect Jacques Garcia in 2008, Palazzo Danieli Excelsior evokes the grandeur of an era gone-by. Entirely non-smoking, refurbished guestrooms in Palazzo Danieli Excelsior are inspired after the Gothic opulence of Palazzo Dandolo's magnificent hall. Palazzo Casa Nuova recalls the Venetian Baroque era, its guestrooms and suites richly decorated with lacquered furniture bordered in soft colours and tapestries embellished with blue and pink flowers. Recently refurbished, Restaurant Terrazza Danieli on the top floor of Palazzo Danieli Excelsior awakens the senses with Executive Chef Gian Nicola Colucci's culinary creations. An endless variety of temptations transports patrons back in time, wedding the rich history of the Serenissima with the magnificent views of the Venice lagoon, the island of San Giorgio, and romantic sunsets over the Grand Canal as it flows into Saint Mark's Basin. Outdoor dining is available on the panoramic terrace from May or even earlier, weather permitting, until October. In the historic hall of the Dandolo Palace, Bar Dandolo is a charming setting with live music in which to while away the hours or enjoy intimate conversations accompanied by classical drinks, cocktails, and informal snacks. An English afternoon tea is served daily at 4:00pm. Open daily from 9:15am to 1:15am. Bar Terrazza Danieli on the top floor of Palazzo Danieli Excelsior opens from June to September from 3:00pm until 6:30pm, weather permitting. Its outdoor setting proposes magnificent views of the Venetian lagoon and Venice's most loved panoramas. Leave organising your daily activities to us. Our multi-lingual, 24-hour clef d'or Concierge Team is ready to assist with restaurant reservations, tours, private guides, transport arrangements, hairdressing appointments and much more. |
