During the full internal refit of the building, all of the furniture, appliances, fixtures, fittings, Bedding, Linen and Curtains etc. have been replaced with new. We worked very closely with the Heritage Listing Authorities to maintain the buildings true 19th century Heritage style, feel and character. All of our Apartments are Very Large, the Two-Bedroom Apartments are really a Penthouse Size, and are complete luxury! With Both Bedrooms, Kitchen, Bath Room, Laundry and a Huge Private Veranda up Stairs and an Enormous Lounge Room, Dining Room and Entertainment Area down Stairs. The Lounge Room has seating for eight on two very comfortable Sofas and two wraparound Leather Lounge Chairs. In addition, there is a stunning Timber Dining Room Table, made from Solid Oak that has place settings for eight people. All you need to do is relax and enjoy the surrounding atmosphere that is unique to Battery Point. The lounge room of each Apartment has an extensive range of electronic home entertainment equipment including a Big Screen TV, Free Digital Foxtel/Austar, DVD/VCR, Stero, Digital Set Top Box and the Fastest Wireless Broadband Connection that Bigpond can supply. We also offer Free Local Telephone Calls from every Apartment. Room heating is installed throughout, with the Two-Bedroom Apartments featuring under floor heating installed in the Bedrooms, Hallway and Kitchen. All bathrooms have a large Spa Bath, separate shower cubicle, ceiling mounted IXL Tastic (heat lamp/fan) & hair dryer. Each apartment is equipped with a private laundry facility including washing machine, clothes dryer, soaking tub, iron & ironing board etc. Please Note: - Each Apartment has a Private Staircase. | Getting There |
Getting There: - It's just a 20 minute drive from the Airport and should cost no more than $40 in a taxi. In addition there is an 'Airport Bus' that runs all day for every flight into & out of Hobart. The bus will cost about $15/person and will drop you off about 50 meters from our property. If driving yourself, follow the signs to the City over the Derwent River Bridge. This road is or will become Davey Street as you near the City. Stay in the left lane of Davey Street and at a well marked intersection turn left into Sandy Bay Road. Once on Sandy Bay Road travel about 1.5km and turn left in to a street named St Georges Terrace. Bath Street is the second street on the right however, there is a Traffic Island preventing a direct right turn in to Bath Street so you will need to do a 'U Turn' after the Traffic Island and then turn left into Bath Street. We are about 100m from the top of Bath Street on the left hand side when driving towards the water. After arriving go to the office located on the right hand side of the building at the rear of the property. |

Limited Free Off Street and Ample Free Street Parking is Available. AS we are located in a Residential Back Street with very Low Volume of Traffic Parking isn't ever a problem. |
| Things To Do |
Hobart, Australia's second oldest capital city, nestles between Mt Wellington and the Derwent Estuary on one of the world�s great deep water ports around Sullivan's Cove. Hobart is the destination for one of the worlds most famous blue water classics, the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. The Hobart waterfront is a working port featuring top class accommodation and restaurants featuring the world famous Salamanca Place with its Georgian architecture. There is so much to see and do in Hobart so here are a few suggestions: - Visit the Salamanca Markets, take the Cadbury Chocolate Factory tour, take a cruise on the Lady Nelson Sailing Boat, cruise to Peppermint Bay for a catered lunch, do the Cascade Brewery tour , try your luck on the Black Jack Tables of Australia's first Casino- Wrest Point Casino, Drive to the top of Mount Wellington and rent a Bicycle and ride down, tour the Tasmanian Maritain Museum, clime 287 steps to the top of Shot Tower, relax and take a stroll around the Royal Hobart Botanical Gardens, enjoy a lunch tour cruise to Wine Glass Bay, do the Sky Walk or take your pick of many other cruses and activities on or around the mighty Derwent River. To top it all off, there are dozens more day tours within 100km of the City to some of the most spectacular surrounding local historical sites including the world famous Port Arthur. The only problem that you will experience is how to squeeze all this in while you are in Hobart. Well, I guess that you'll just have to come back again next year! See you then! |
