Karaka Tree is a Qualmark 4 star motel offering fantastic value for money, excellent customer service and spacious, comfortable rooms. The property is set in attractive grounds directly across the road from Lake Taupo with free car parking and is the only motel in Taupo with geothermal mineral freshwater hot pools in EVERY room.

The property features 24 spacious Spa Studios located upstairs and One Bedroom Spa Suites located on the ground floor. Every room is extremely spacious and the One Bedroom Spa Suite offers a separate bedroom and lounge area, as well as a private courtyard area with a fabulous geothermal mineral water hot spa pool and attractive outdoor table and chairs. The Spa Studio has a separate room with a geothermal mineral hot spa pool. All rooms have an en-suite with a vanity and walk-in shower cubicle.

All rooms are serviced daily and have kitchenettes, microwaves, tea and coffee, hairdryers, iron and ironing boards, electric frying pans and clock radios, plunger coffee is available. Wireless Broadband internet access is available (at an additional charge). Cooked, continental or light breakfasts are delivered daily in-room on request. There is also a DVD player available and a guest laundry. All rooms are non smoking, but ashtrays are provided around the motel for outside smoking

There is a top restaurant within easy walking distance of the motel and it is located just a short drive into Taupo city centre with its unique shopping, restaurants and clubs.

Getting There From The North:

Take the Taupo bypass road for 10km. This will be the 3rd exit for the Napier-Taupo Rd. Turn right heading into Taupo travel to the end of the road and turn left. We are the second driveway on the left.

If you have come into Taupo town centre keep driving on Lake Road, We are 2kms down this road 85 metres after the turnoff for the Napier-Taupo rd.

From The South:

At the roundabout for the Taupo bypass take the 1st exit onto State Hwy 5 and drive for 4km approx 5 minutes. We are on the right hand side.

If you take the Taupo bypass drive until the first exit ( Napier - Taupo rd and turn left. Travel to the end of the road and turn left. We are the second driveway on the left.
Parking There is a car park available for each room and additional car parking available for trailers and trucks, ask at reception.
Things To Do There is so much to do in Taupo and the surrounding area!! Why not try trout fishing, boating, sailing, tours, sky diving, rafting, jetboat rides, bungy jumps, and heaps of other fun things!!
