Tweed Valley Lodge is a 4 star adult retreat with spacious, luxury, self-contained accommodation in a stunning riverbank setting with an amazing array of Australian native birds.

All suites are well-appointed and self-contained with private facilities. All bedding, linen and bath towels are provided.

The suites have a spacious and comfy home away from home feel and are fully insulated for all seasons including double glazing, wall, ceiling and floor insulation, making the suites lovely and cool in the summer and cosy and warm in the winter.

Suites include ensuite bathroom with shower, toilet, vanity, sofa, dining suite, kitchenette with cutlery and crockery, fridge, microwave, TV, ceiling fan, space heater, clock radio, verandah and outdoor setting, and a covered carpark with private entry.

All suites overlook the picturesque Blackwood River just 40 meters away. The views from your suite are simply breathtaking.

A boardwalk leads you to soft, flowing pathways through the gardens to the river where you can sit, relax and take in the beauty and serenity of the best that Mother Nature has to offer.

The only early morning wake-up call you will hear is the natural kind, unselfishly offered by an amazing variety of Aussie bush birds that call the Blackwood River Valley home. Then you awake peering through nature's window - stunning river views and country garden aromas.

An expansive sail-covered decking / BBQ area, attached to all suites via the boardwalk, provides a magnificent panoramic view of this riverside property.

Daily bird feeding and bathing is a highlight when a multitude of parrots and other species provide a continuous flow of traffic along a corridor of bird feeders and bird baths just outside your doorstep.

Each afternoon, a multitude of parrots will engage in a feeding frenzy that is a delight to see, particularly the pecking order that prevails. Early morning viewing is also a 'must do' as these beautiful creatures call in on their way to the office to finish off what they left behind the day before.

Your hosts, Pauline and Ray constantly strive to exceed guests' expectations. This includes maintaining a high standard at all times throughout the property. We pride ourselves on having happy guests every time.

This property is not suitable for children under 16 years.

Getting There We are in Tweed Road just 2 km south of Bridgetown CBD. By car, 800 meters south of the Blackwood River bridge on the South West Hwy, you will see our large blue and white sign. Turn into Tweed Road and just 300 meters on the left hand side is our riverside paradise. Tweed Valley Lodge is easy to find but hard to leave!
Parking An all bitumen drive leads you to the Lodge, about 100 meters off Tweed Road, providing very secure off street parking. An undercover, double parking bay is provided immediately outside the private entry to your suite.
Things To Do The winding road leading into Bridgetown signals the transition from urban uniformity to the unique rural bush scape blanket this beautiful location sits on. Bridgetown is only a gentle 3 hour drive from Perth according to the map – but all that discover this pristine bushland oasis are convinced they are far, far away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Tranquillity, scenic drives, diverse natural flora and fauna, and the tracks throughout the Blackwood River valley offer the bushwalker, bird watcher, sight seer or recreational angler unending options for as long as you care to stay and trek about. The town has many wineries and unique galleries as well as canoeing, tennis and golf facilities for the more sporting visitors.

A-la-carte dining or value for money counter meals are available from the many tasteful cafes and restaurants – all offering genuine olde worldly country hospitality in a village atmosphere and the best of Western Australian produce - give those with a "culinary bias" enough choices to ensure satisfaction for all tastes and budgets.

Bestowed "Historic Town" status by the National Trust, Bridgetown remains loyal to its unique wooded backdrop, oozing rustic charm and a true sense of history with many preserved, renovated and traditionally styled buildings.

Once the fruit growing centre of the state, Bridgetown is now famous for its rolling hillsides, scenic drives, jarrah and marri forests, starry nights and the longest continually flowing river in the state... the mighty Blackwood River.

Bridgetown is ideally located in the centre of the Blackwood River Valley and serves as an ideal base to explore the valley including the towns of Balingup, Nannup and Boyup Brook as well as Pemberton and the Warren National Park - all less than an hour's drive from Bridgetown.
