Verona Guesthouse is a beautifully restored 125 year-old mansion in the heart of Glebe. It is one of five original houses known locally as "the doctors' houses" which serviced Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in the ealy 1900's. There are eight spacious bedrooms comprising: * five double bedrooms (one with garden view) and * three triple bedrooms (one with bath). All rooms have ensuite, airconditioning and free broadband access. Foxtel is provided in the loungeroom and there is a quiet courtyard and garden area to relax in. Just 15 minutes from the CBD via lightrail or bus, Glebe is the perfect location for those wishing to explore the city or enjoy Glebe's famous bookstores and cafes. Glebe's Blackwattle Bay has a wonderful foreshore walk to the Fish markets and further through to Darling Harbour. Each Saturday, Glebe comes alive with its famous markets in the local public school. Victoria Park is also nearby with a beautiful outside pool overlooking Sydney's prestigious University. For those who enjoy the delights of shopping, the Broadway Centre accommodates all tastes and includes a cinema complex. |

| Getting There |
From Sydney Airport International & Domestic Terminals - 1. Taxi to Glebe Point Road costs approximately AUD $30-$40. Ask to go via Redfern or Alexandria as that is the most direct route. 2. Airport Connect Shuttle Service AUD$15/person departs every half hour 5am to 7pm outside terminal 1. The domestic bus stop is halfway between terminals 2 and 3. To guarantee booking PH:1300737212. 3. Trains to Central Station AUD $12 run hourly. From Central Station (George St exit) catch bus 431 or 433 to Glebe Point Road. Ask to alight at Glebe Library. We are situated in the next block down on the left hand side. |

| Things To Do |
Verona Guesthouse is ideally situated for those wishing to visit the CBD or Darling Harbour but remain in a village atmosphere. We are located near the LightRail Station which takes you into Darling Harbour or Central Station in just 10 minutes. Alternatively you can walk into the city through Pyrmont which takes approximately 30 minutes. Glebe's foreshore walk is recommended as it winds along Blackwattle Bay to Sydney's historic Fish Markets. For those wishing to exercise there is also an outside pool in Victoria Park at the end of Glebe Point Road. We recommend a visit to Glebe markets on Saturday for hand-made products and local jazz bands. For those wishing to explore Sydney harbour, buses 431 and 433 take you right into the famous Rocks area and Circular Quay. From there you can catch a ferry to Manly, Taronga Zoo or Watson's Bay or take the Sydney Explorer Bus to Bondi Beach. |
