The Bavaria Bed & Breakfast is a small, charming hotel only 7 minutes drive from the centre of Auckland. We are situated on the western slopes of an extinct volcano in the heart of Mt. Eden, one of Auckland's most picturesque, historic suburbs, on the periphery of the business centre of Auckland. With only 11 guest rooms we assure warm, friendly and generous hospitality, offering quality B&B accommodation with all modern amenities. Our 100-year-old kauri villa has recently been completely redecorated and refurbished with native timber furniture. The large, sunny guest lounge leads on to a private deck in a small exotic garden. We have 11 comfortable rooms. They all come with ensuites, and are equipped with new commercial-quality firm beds, private telephones, wireless internet access, suitcase racks, clock radios, heating and electric blankets. All single and twin rooms have king-single beds, the 5 double rooms have queen-size beds and 3 rooms have sunny balconies. The breakfast buffet is a house specialty offering a wide selection of freshly prepared and tasty food with a touch of German cuisine. Complimentary tea, coffee and cookies, a guest fridge and the free use of a guest computer are available in the lounge. In walking distance you will find fine restaurants offering first class dining and numerous cafés and ethnic eating places, shops, supermarket, banks, laundromat, dry cleaner and the bus stop to the city. Rates are for 1-2 people. Maximum occupancy is 2. Bedding configuration is either 1x Queen, 1x Double or 2 x Large Singles. Ensuite, 2 luggage racks, writing desk, phone & wireless internet access. | Getting There |
>From the Airport Take motorway No. 20 into the city. Take DOMINION ROAD exit and turn right into DOMINION ROAD. Travel approximately 2.5 km until you come to VALLEY ROAD intersection. Turn right into VALLEY ROAD, we are number 83 on left hand side. >From Queen Street Travel to the uphill (South) end of QUEEN STREET. Cross Karangahape Road (K-Road) into UPPER QUEEN STREET. Immediately after the over bridge turn right into McKINNON LINK. This road becomes DOMINION ROAD. At the second set of traffic lights turn left into VALLEY ROAD. BAVARIA B&B is on the left side. >From the Motorway >From the NORTH use the GILLIES AVE off-ramp, turn right into GILLIES AVE. At next intersection turn right into OWENS ROAD. At next set of lights turn right into MT. EDEN ROAD. The first on the left is VALLEY ROAD. BAVARIA B&B is on the right after the sharp left bend. >From the SOUTH use GREENLANE ROAD exit, turn left into GREENLANE ROAD, stay on this road for approximately 4 km, then turn right into MT. EDEN ROAD. Immediately after the Mt. Eden shopping village turn left into VALLEY ROAD, Valley Road turns sharply to the left, BAVARIA B&B is on the right after the bend. |

Nearby Auckland attractions include: Mount Eden, highest elevation in Auckland - an extinct volcano and crater, from its top get panoramic views of Auckland and the Harbour. Eden Botanical Gardens, Mt. Eden Swimming Pool, Auckland Domain and Auckland Zoo. In walking distance from our accommodation is Eden Park which is Auckland's main rugby/cricket stadium.
