We have 15 immaculately maintained rooms with en-suite bathrooms, reverse cycle air conditioning and a AAA 3 star rating. Peaceful location in the South Maroubra Shopping Village, above a quiet and friendly local pub. Separate entrance and reception, and lots of off-street parking. Supermarket, chemist, medical centre, beauty salon and playground next door. Just a short walk to the beach. Good bus service to the city and other destinations. Ideal for families, visiting relatives, or if you are attending a sporting event, working in the area, or merely passing through. |

Standard Double Room
Rates are for 2. Extra guests are $10 per night. Bedding configuration is 1 double bed & 2 single beds. A maximum of 3 adults or a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children). Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $10.00. Extra children $10.00. The room caters for a maximum of 3 adults, and a maximum of 2 children but cannot exceed 4 guests in total. The following bedding is provided:

| Getting There |
By car, take Fitzgerald Avenue towards Maroubra beach. About 100 metres before the beach, turn south on Broom Street, go up the hill and then right at Curtin Crescent. A taxi from the airport, Central station or Sydney city centre will take between 20 and 30 minutes, and cost around A$30. There are several good bus services. Take route 395 from Central Station, 396 or 397 from Circular Quay, or 353 from Bondi Junction or Eastgardens. From the airport, take route 400 or 410 and change to a 317 or 353 bus at Eastgardens. Coming by surfboard, surf ski or sea kayak, land at Maroubra beach and walk across the Arthur Byrne Reserve into Curtin Crescent. |

The Sands Motel is situated in the South Maroubra Shopping Village. This provides an abundance of safe off-street parking. Guests are welcome to park in any designated car space, free of charge. |
| Things To Do |
Surf (or take surfing lessons) at Maroubra beach, go north or south along the very beautiful coast walk from the beach, play golf (there are 14 golf courses within a 10 minute drive from the Sands Motel) go sailing, fising, shopping in the Eastgardens shopping mall or racing at Royal Randwick Racecourse. |
