Crows Nest Apartments are situated in a beautiful elevated garden position in West Hobart and affords guests stunning panoramic views whilst being ideally located for all major access routes to places of local and historic interests.

By day you will have a bird's eye view of one of Australia's loveliest cities, a spectacular vista stretching from the foothills of Mount Wellington to the far shores of the River Derwent.

There is always something different to see and a short 10 minute walk will take you to the CBD and on to Salamanca Place, the cultural heart of the city.

The apartments are situated 1km from the GPO and are close to Salamanca Place and its Saturday market, Battery point, the Docks and the restaurant strip on Elizabeth St North Hobart.

Getting There Taxis are available from the Airport to The Crows Nest at a cost of approx. $42.00.

Directions by car from the airport:
Hobart is a twenty minute drive from the airport.
On leaving the airport follow the signs for Hobart. As you approach the city proceed straight ahead onto the A6 or Davey Street. Stay in the right hand lane. Turn right onto Molle Street. Turn second left onto Liverpool Street. Continue to the end of Liverpool Street. There are two sections of road where there is a high side and a low side, stay on the high side.
At the end of Liverpool Street the road turns to the right and becomes Liverpool Crescent. We are on the right hand side. Please pull off the road and park in front of the building or in the car port. The reception area is in the centre of the building up the stone steps.

Moorilla Winery, Putters golf for the children indoors and out doors, Bowling Alley, Derwent Entertainment Centre, Local Markets.
Beautiful beaches within a few minutes drive. The visitors centre at the top of Mt. Wellington has breathtaking panoramic views from what feels like the top of the world.
Get on the Big Bus and enjoy all the local points of interest at your own pace; just jump on and off the bus when it suits you.

Take a historical stroll through Salamanca Place and Battery Point learning the history of old Hobart Town. Penitentiary Chapel Historic Site: Georgian ecclesiastical architecture, former chapel and criminal court, has underground passages, solitary cells and an execution yard. Day and evening tours available.

Tasmanian Transport Museum: Restored station Museum, displays, relics, photographic history of the Tasmanian Railways. Steam & diesel-electric locomotives, railcars, trams and Hobart trolley buses. Diesel train rides on the first Sunday of each Month. Steam locomotive runs on the third Sunday of the month.

Tasmanian Distillery and Museum: in the old gasworks building. Take the guided tour; learn the history, watch the distilling process buy spirits such as 'Sullivan's Cove Whisky' in the shop.

Narrynya Heritage Museum: a nationally significant collection of furniture, china, silver and paintings in one of Hobart's earliest colonial homes (1836).

Risdon Cove: located 8kms up river, the site is the location of the first European Settlement site in Tasmania, founded in 1803 only to be abandoned 5 months later in favour of the current location of Hobart City. Risdon Cove was returned to the land's traditional owners in 1995. Little has changed in the last 192 years making it a unique tourist destination.
