BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: From train station South (Graz, Klagenfurt or Italy): By tram D direction “Nussdorf” – in front of the parliament change to tram J direction “Ottakring”. At the second station get off the tram and go one block back to the hotel, which you have already passed with the tram. From train station West (Salzburg, Linz or Germany): By underground U3 direction “Simmering” – at the station “Volkstheater” change to underground U2 direction “Schottenring” and get off at the station “Rathaus”. Walk two blocks up Josefstädterstraße to the hotel. From the center/State Opera: By tram J direction “Ottakring” – after the parliament at the second station get off and go one block back to the hotel. Or take underground U2 direction “Schottenring” and get off at the station “Rathaus”. Walk two blocks up Josefstädterstraße to the hotel. From the airport: The transport by cab direct to the hotel costs about EUR 37,--. With train CAT (City Air Train) or S7 to the City Air Terminal. There change to underground U3 direction “Ottakring” – to “Volkstheater”, where you change to U2 direction “Schottenring” - and get off at station “Rathaus”. Walk two blocks up Josefstädterstraße to the hotel. TO REACH THE HOTEL BY CAR: If you come from Highway West No. A 1: Exit Wien-Auhof goes directly into “Rechte Wienzeile”. Keep straight until you pass Schloß Schönbrunn. Drive direction “Zentrum/City” until you reach the “Ringstrasse”. After the parliament you turn left into “Stadiongasse” – after the third traffic light you will find our Hotel on the right handed side on Josefstädterstraße number 22 next to the “Theater in der Josefstadt”. If you come from Highway South No. A 2: Drive to the South-East-Highway A 23, from there you take the exit “Landstrasse”. You will come directly to Landstrasser Gürtel. There you pass the train station South, also the train station West. The best is to drive always direction “Prag/Brno” – after the train station West, about 2,8 km, you reach “Lerchenfelder Gürtel” – following this street you get directly to Josefstädterstraße (at the corner is a “Libro” Bookstore). After the third traffic light, next to the “Theater in der Josefstadt” you will find our hotel. Vienna is a culture hot-spot. Enjoy a famous opera in the "Staatsoper", find a lot of shopping facilites along Kaertnerstrasse, visit the St. Stephans Cathedral and view the city from the top. Take a ride on the ferris wheel in the Prater. Visit the Townhall, (Rathaus), you could be lucky to catch an outdoor free concert. Visit the museums and galleries on the Ringstrasse Take in a show of the Spanish Riding School at the Hofburg at Graben. Stroll down by the Danube River. This city is so beautiful, it will take your breath away. |
