Enjoy our sumptuous hot breakfasts delivered to your door each morning. Tastefully decorated, each cottage includes a fully self contained kitchen, log fire, TV, CD & video. Enjoy the parklike surroundings at the BBQ by the creek. Take in the environment by watching the birds or feeding the livestock - horses, cows, chickens and ducks. | Getting There |
If arriving from Brisbane, turn left from the highway to enter Stanthorpe's main street. Turn left at first round-about into Lock Street (Woolworths is on the right hand side). We are 1.8kms from this round-about. You will pass under a rail bridge and come to another round-about at a t-section. You will see a brown sign to Diamondvale B&B under the Greenup Street sign, turn right and follow the signs. Follow Greenup Street, as you leave the residential area the street changes its name to Diamondvale Road. When the road changes its name, you do a distinct right hand turn then left hand turn. Then you pass over a cement crossing. We are on the right directly after this crossing - number 26. You will see a brown directional sign on the left directing you to turn right into our driveway. If you reach Mahoney Lane you have gone too far. For those of you arriving from the South side of town, drive through the main street. When you reach the round-about at Woolworths turn right. You are now in Lock Street. Continue as per the above directions. |

| Things To Do |
There are many things to do whilst staying at our property. You can walk the Heritage Trail from your cottage into town. This delightful walk meanders along the creek opening out onto stunning Granite Rock formations and passing under a famous local landmark, the "Red Bridge". There are plenty of national parks nearby including Girraween, Boonoo Boonoo and Bald Rock Park all featuring amazing granite rock boulder formations with walks to cater for all ages. Wine tours depart daily from Diamondvale Cottages on request and all operators cater for the individual needs of the guests on their tour.If you want to self-drive, maps are available at reception. Markets in the mountains are in town every second Sunday of the month with plenty of local craft and produce. African Communal Feasts are held at Rumbalara winery every third Saturday of the month with buses leaving from your cottage at your request. Cooking classes in Glen Aplin with Geoff Metcalf from Feb to Nov every 3rd Saturday of each month. Lavender Farms are close by and can be enjoyed all year round. You can visit farms and pick your own fruit or veg at the right time of the year. Sample hand-made chocolates at heavenly chocolate. Walk through the gardens and enjoy the only maze in Stanthorpe. Visit our local art gallary or various galleries in the surrounding district. Or go to one of the many musical events are held troughout the year at various wineries with Sunday jazz being a year-round feature at some establishments. |
