DIRECTIONS: From State Highways 1 and 49 If you are travelling from State Highway 1 via Waiouru turn right at the isite at the corner of Clyde and Goldfinch Streets. From the North - State Highways 3, 4 and 49 If you are travelling from the North through Hamilton on State Highways 3 and 4 via Taumarunui turn left at the isite on the corner of Clyde and Goldfinch Streets. DRIVING TIME: 4 hours and 40 minutes from Auckland 4 hours and 20 minutes from Wellington BY AIR: The nearest airport is Taupo, approximately 40 minutes from Turangi. BY RAIL: National Park, Ohakune and Taumarunui are on the main truck line with daily services between Auckland and Wellington. BY BUS: There are several companies servicing this area. |
