Moondarra Caravan Park provides quality accommodation in Mt Isa at a budget price. It is the friendly Outback place to stay. There are air-conditioned, ensuite self-contained villas and ensuite cabins, as well as large shady drive-through sites and tent sites. There is also 144 rooms in the new purpose built Workforce Accommodation section, with a full service mess to provide meals for your workforce. The park is located on the Leichhardt River next to a sanctuary, and has many native birds and animals. Moondarra Caravan Park Mt Isa is the closest accommodation to Mt Isa airport, the Mt Isa Rodeo, Lake Moondarra and the Ernst Henry mine. There is a swimming pool, kiosk, laundry facilities, camp kitchen, phone, gas and pick-up courtesy coaches to local clubs. We also do tour bookings. Restaurant is open 6 days a week for the public. |

AAOK Moondarra Caravan Park is just 4km north of Mt Isa. Turn into Lake Moondarra Rd off the Barkly Highway at the Lake Moondarra sign - we are just 500m off the highway on your left. |

Lake Moondarra is situated just 15 kilometres from Moondarra Caravan Park in Mount Isa. The lake is a popular place for its beautiful scenery, boating, wildlife and barramundi fishing. The Mt Isa Rodeo is held on the second weekend in August each year. There is also a fantastic festival in the week leading up to the Mt Isa Rodeo. Outback at Isa Mount Isa's biggest tourism attraction, the $12 million Outback at Isa complex has been judged the premier tourist attraction of Outback Queensland! Outback at Isa is an entire day of entertainment, information and education for travellers discovering Queensland's Outback. Within the Outback At Isa Centre is a Visitor Information Centre; The Hard Times Mine, a specially-constructed, underground mining experience, the Isa Experience Gallery, with its fascinating displays of the pre-historic, indigenous, social and mining history that has shaped Mount Isa and the region. There is also an Outback Park, featuring a waterfall & lagoon, native flora & walking trails. Regular Bush Ballads performances are held in the outdoor amphitheatre as Ballads at Isa during the tourist season, accompanied by a camp oven cooked dinner. World Heritage Riversleigh Fossil Centre is an integral part of Outback at Isa, where the region's pre historic fossils are showcased at the fossil treatment laboratory and world-class displays. City Lookout Get a bird's eye view of Mount Isa from the city's Hilary Street lookout. The lookout with its global sign post, offers a 360-degree panorama of the city and mine area. Visitors must make a second look at sunset or after dark for spectacular views of the Mount Isa mine at night. |
