Getting There Using Cessnock as the reference point, coming from Sydney, take the Cessnock turn-off from the F3 freeway. At Cessnock, you will travel past the Cessnock High School & sports grounds on your left. The first set of traffic lights are at the intersection of Vincent Street and Aberdare Road. Cross Vincent Street, go straight on following the Wollombi and Bellbird signs to Wollombi Road. Turn left into Wollombi Road.

Coming from any other direction, at the junction of Vincent Street (the main shopping street), Wine Country Drive (the main road out to Pokolbin & Branxton) and Maitland & Wollombi Roads, take Wollombi Road.

Drive for 5 km, through the village of Bellbird past the Bellbird Hotel and turn right into Kendall Street. The Bellbird Mine Memorial Park is on the corner. Follow Kendall Street (which becomes Bimbadeen Road) all the way up the hill (3.8 km) and you will come to Bimbadeen Estate.
Parking Free parking is available.
Things To Do Choose from the many things to see and do in and around the vineyards of Hunter Valley Wine Country. Or you can simply veg out, enjoy the view, relax by the pool and take it easy. Play golf among the vines at 3 courses near by. Take a hot air balloon ride over the Hunter vineyards at dawn. Perhaps experience a wine tour with Aussie Wine Tours. Stroll along the Great North Walk. Or finish the day at one of the many restaurants in the Hunter Valley.
There is Opera in the Vineyards each October, followed by the popular Jazz in the Vines concerts. Then at Easter time there is always the Bimbadgen Blues concerts. But remember, these concerts are extremely popular and accommodation is hard to find if you don't book early.
