Just 3 hours drive north of Adelaide, the North Star Hotel is a stylish alternative to Port Augusta or Port Pirie when you explore the southern Flinders Ranges. The southern sister of the famous Prairie Hotel! Major renovations were undertaken in 2006 to create four boutique hotel rooms of a standard you’d expect from a five star inner-city hotel, these rooms revel in sumptuous furnishings of olives, browns, rich creams and ochre. A modern ensuite in each room completes the standard of luxury. Also available are our famous old trucks with cabins built on the decks very rustic and very interesting. Another unique feature of the North Star Hotel is its cellar door facilities for the Bundaleer Wines range. For the walking and cycling enthusiasts, Melrose also is the meeting point of the Heysen Walking Trail and Mawson bike riding trails making the Hotel a great base for activities. The North Star Hotel offers everything you could want in a country pub and more. Restaurant Facilities: The restaurant is furnished with beautiful hand crafted tables and chairs with views of Mt Remarkable from the wooden deck. The menu has been designed with local produce in mind, utilising the regions wine for cooking some unique food. Disabled Access: Disabled rooms are available. |
