The Eltham Gateway Motel is a 37 room motel set on 4 acres,ample free on site car parking with picturesque gardens, tall gum trees, native bush land and the tranquil atmosphere of semi rural peacefulness. The Eltham Gateway is ideally situated just 25 minutes from the city of Melbourne and 25 minutes from the airport. Strada Restaurant offers homemade Italian cuisine at affordable prices open for dinner 5 nights a week with continental breakfast baskets available. Our Strada Restaurant will be closed from 25th December to 19 January 2010. The Eltham Gateway has established itself as one of Victoria's premier conference venues. Catering to all levels of business whether it be small business or even multi-national companies. The Gateway has been chosen by many of Australia's leading companies - Telstra, Australia Post, Kodak, ANZ, P&O Maritime, and BOC Gases to name a few. | Getting There |
City to Eltham Gateway - Take the western ring road from the city. Follow this all the way to the end, and turn right onto the Greensborough Highway. Turn left at the lights onto Grimshaw Street. Turn Left into "the Circuit" and stay on this road (it becomes Para Road) then turns into "Shebourne Road". Follow this road without turning until you reach the bridge street roundabout (near Red Rooster and McDonalds). Turn left onto Bridge Street. Turn Left at the next set of lights onto Main Road, and head through Eltham towards Research. The Gateway is Located on the left hand side of the road Airport to Eltham Gateway - Take the Tullamarine Freeway from the airport towards the city. Turn left at the western ring road exit (after Mickelham Road exit). Follow this all the way to the end, and turn right onto the Greensborough Highway. Turn left at the lights onto Grimshaw Street. Turn left into "the Cicuit" and stay on this road. It becomes "Para Road", then turns into "Sherbourne Road". Follow this road without turning until you reach the Bridge Street Roundabout (near Red Rooster and McDonalds). Turn left onto Bridge Street. Turn left at the next set of lights onto Main Road, and head through Eltham towards Research. The Gateway is located on the left hand side. |

The Eltham Gateway Motel is situated only minutes from the Yarra Valley Wineries and Town of Eltham where Public transport is available. Close to many places of local importance and beauty, including Montsalvat artist colony, Alistair Knox mudbrick home,Kangaroo Ground War Memorial tower,Edendale Farm,Watsons Creek antiques, Nillumbik market (first Sunday in the month),Greensborough Market (every Sunday) and many specialty shops.For the kids there is the Diamond Valley railway ride, plus numerous parks and nature walking trails,including Kinglake National Park, or sailing and fishing on Sugar Loaf Reservoir. Doncaster Westfield Shoppingtown and Cinema is a short drive away. |
