Getting There Driving to Thala from Cairns city or the airport:

Once you leave the airport you come to a set of traffic lights at the junction with the main Cook Highway, turn RIGHT at these lights and remain on this road for approximately 50 minutes. There are a total of 9 roundabouts all between the airport and Kewarra Beach, make sure that you always exit off these roundabouts on the Port Douglas/Mossman exit (DO NOT TURN OFF FOR KURANDA). After the ninth roundabout remain on this road for approximately 25 to 30 minutes it follows the coastline and is a very picturesque drive (REMEMBER TO KEEP TO THE LEFT). You will pass Hartleys Creek Crocodile Farm and a small area of homes known as Wangetti, Thala is approximately 12 minutes past this point the road twists around the coastline, there are places that slower cars can pull over to the left and slow down to allow faster traffic following to pass.
You will come to a sign on the right indicating Thala Beach Lodge 100 meters ahead on the right, start indicating to turn RIGHT at this stage you will then come to our entrance, drive up to the main lodge and reception area as we have valet parking.

Airport transfers are available by prior arrangement ($32 p/p one way).
Parking Free valet parking.
