The Hotel Privilege is situated in a XVIII century building on the right bank of the river Arno, opposite the hill of Michelangelo Square, which dominates the city of Florence. The classical, elegant furnishings and cordial, family atmosphere make this the ideal departure point for a pleasant stay in our beautiful city. The Hotel Privilege is just a few steps from Santa Croce Square, one of the most elegant squares of Florence, with the church of the same name, one of the most splendid and interesting in Europe. A few minutes away is Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery and the other principal museums, places of cultural interest as well as the shopping centre, restaurants and entertainment. All rooms offer the comforts of air conditioning, heating, private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, mini-bar, TV with satellite channels, and direct dial telephone. A small garden can be enjoyed by guests during the spring and summer season. A garage/car park is available at extra cost. Hotel guests will find a rich buffet for breakfast, ready from 7 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. Room service is also available for breakfast, snacks and late suppers. | Getting There |
Arriving in Florence at the HOTEL PRIVILEGE By Car: The Hotel is easily reached from the A1 Milano-Roma motorway exit "Firenze Sud" (Florence South) in about 5/6 minutes. After pay toll drive ahead for about 3 km until you arrive at the first traffic-light. Turn left in direction city centre and after aboout 3 km turn right in Giovanni Amendola street. Keep the left (follow directions "Lungarni") and turn left at the first light. Left again and drive towards the Old Tower that you see ahead (Piazza Piave). Keep driving and turn right in Lungarno della Zecca Vecchia. After 200 meters you are in front the HOTEL PRIVILEGE. (PS: "Lungarni" means "banks of the river Arno") By Train: from both railway stations "Santa Maria Novella" (main central station) and "Campo di Marte" you can take the Bus n. 13 direction Piazzale Michelangelo, and after 20 minutes (step-off at the "Zecca Vecchia 2" bus stop - 50 meters from the hotel) you are at the HOTEL PRIVILEGE. By taxi and with an approx. cost of € 10,- in 5/6 minutes you are at the hotel. By Flight: from the International Florence-Peretola Airport "Amerigo Vespucci" we suggest to take a taxi that takes you in about 20 minutes at the HOTEL PRIVILEGE, with an approx. cost of € 20,- There is also a shuttle-bus (cost € 5,- per person) that takes you at the Santa Maria Novella station in 20 minutes. From there you can take the taxi or the bus with the above mentioned directions. By Flight: from PISA International Airport "Galileo Galilei" (80 km from Florence city centre) The best way is using the train from this airport (cost you € 5,10-) with an approx. time of one hour and 15 minute, to the Santa Maria Novella railway station. |

Our own car park is available at extra cost of Euro 15 - per day. We provide a valet service. On request is also available car-wash and repair. |

Just steps away from all major interesting sites as Santa Croce (Basilica, Museum and Cloisters), Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio, Bargello Museum, Cathedral. Closed by a typical leather shopping area with many hand-made products. All surrounding markets, that have kept their popular and genuine spirit, where you can find Florentine products, specialities and "little treasure" of authenticity. All around typical trattoria, wine bars, groceries and numerous art galleries and other small museums. |
