Akuna is Dubbo's newest Motel, where you can be assured of a warm friendly welcome. Only 5 minutes from the Airport and 1.5 km from the post office, Akuna is situated on the Newell Highway close to some of Dubbo's most famous tourist attractions. Enjoy a pleasant stay in Dubbo in one of our 16 fully air-conditioned rooms, all of which are 4 star, or in our newly renovated self catering Cottage. At the Akuna, we pride ourselves on spacious, modern and comfortable rooms at a convenient location. Equipped with 4 star amenities including Austar, wireless internet connection, room service for breakfast, dinner and beverages, and a BBQ for the organised casual diner. For more choice, we are situated 200 metres from the West Dubbo Bowing Club and there is a licensed restaurant just next door. Dubbo is home to the famous Western Plains Zoo only a short drive or leisurely walk from our Motel. Our Newly refurbished cottage is available for a two night stay (one night can be arranged with an additional cleaning fee of $20. The cottage has a spa bath in the main bedroom, twin bedding in second bedroom and a wall bed in the living area to accommodate a larger family or additional friends. Pet accommodation can be arranged off premises. |

By car, situated 1.5 km from the CBD and 1.8 kms from Western Plains Zoo (just 2 minutes) on the Newell Highway going south towards Parkes. Travelling from Sydney the Akuna can be found on the western side of the Macquarie River on the Newell Highway travelling towards Parkes. |
