Situated on 5 acres of bushland environment strategically supplemented with additional native plantings, O’Carrollyn’s is the ‘environmental jewel’ of Port Stephen’s. Nestled in the bush behind One Mile Beach, away from the main road the main noise. One will hear the wildlife going about there general day to day business. At O’Carrollyn’s we call this phenomena the back ground orchestra. Birds by the day. Frogs, crickets and koalas by night. 9 architecturally Eco, fully self contained, 'fully accessible', 5 star energy efficient, air-con, lofted cabins (some with private and secluded outdoor hot tub spas. The cabins feature fair dinkum good size covered verandahs surrounding a central billabong and all year round heated swim spa pool. This property also includes 2 covered BBQ areas and a conference/meeting/party room. Absolutely ‘brilliant’ for groups bookings or that quiet romantic getaway. There simply isn’t anything to match O’Carrollyn’s in this area. Locals call it a 5 minute drive to Nelson Bay from One Mile Beach (7.9km to the marina) or a good throw to the Anna Bay sand dunes (2.4km the other way). With this sort of location, all of the activities available in Port Stephen’s is within easy access. O'Carrollyn's has been developed without environmental impact to protect and provide cover and feed for the local wildlife, including many species of birds and, of course frogs and koalas. |

| Getting There |
Port Stephen’s is approximately 200km north of Sydney and takes an average of 2½ hours by car. Take the F3 Freeway from Sydney and travel approximately 123km. At the end of the freeway turn right at the roundabout, following the sign ‘Hexham and Pacific Highway'. The road merges just after an overpass with the New England Highway, after which you should look for the sign ‘Taree and Pacific Highway’. This directs you over the Hexham Bridge. You are now on the Pacific Highway heading north for Raymond Terrace and Taree. The 1st turn off to Port Stephens is about 500m past the bridge and leads to Port Stephens Airport at Williamtown. To get to Port Stephens follow the Raymond Terrace bypass after Motto Farm. Look for the exit ‘ Richardson Road and Nelson Bay signs’. This exit veers off to the left and takes you to another roundabout beside the freeway where you turn right and go under the freeway. Follow the signs to Nelson Bay. 6 roundabouts from Sydney or 4 roundabouts from the north later you will be at the Anna Bay turn off which is called Gan Gan Road. One Mile Beach is about 5km further on from here. Go through the little town let of Anna Bay. About 2km further on you will come to another round – about with Boat Harbour to your right and O’Carrollyn’s to your left. Heading South from Kempsey, Port Macquarie and Taree, Port Stephens is approximately 177 km south of Taree and takes an average of 2 hours by car. Use the Pacific Highway. Just over the hill past the Bucket’s Way turn off to Stroud on your right then, on your left is the first turn off to Port Stephens. The sign says Nelson Bay and the first 2km of the road is gravel but the rest is bitumen. Go through the township of Medowie until you get to the Richardson Road roundabout where you turn left to Nelson Bay and Salt Ash. Straight ahead is Williamtown and to the right is Raymond Terrace. 4 roundabouts from the north and you will be at the Anna Bay turn off. One Mile Beach is about 5km further on from here. Go through the little town of Anna Bay. About 2km further on, you will come to another roundabout with Boat Harbour to your right and O’Carrollyn’s to your left. |
