| Getting There |
From Wellington: Take State Highway 2 to Petone. Take Petone off-ramp & turn right at round-a-bout. This will bring you on to The Esplanade. Travel approx 1km along the Esplanade. From North (SH2): Travel south along SH2 and take Petone off-ramp. Turn LEFT into Hutt Rd and FIRST RIGHT ,Right at round about on Jackson St and then turn left into Te Puni St and left into The Esplanade .We are at 200mtrs on your Left From North (SH1) - Take the Ngauranga off ramp at the bottom of the Ngauranga Gorge (stay in the left lane the whole way down) and then take State Highway 2 to the HUTT VALLEY(follow instructions as listed above from Wellington) Train - catch train from Wellington Railway Station (either Melling or Upper Hutt Line) and get off at PETONE. From Petone station, walk up Jackson Street, right into Te Puni Street and then left into The Esplanade 100 m before the wharf. From Airport (self drive) - drive into the city and then follow signs to Petone/Hutt Valley From Airport (Shuttle/Taxi/Bus) - There are a number of options available from Wellington Airport. If you are taking the bus, look out for the orange coloured FLYER bus |

Petone is the gateway to the Hutt Valley. Situated 10 minutes or so north-east of Wellington city. We are nestled on the Wellington Harbour foreshore and the Esplanade has beautiful views of the harbour & city. Easy walking distance to local restaurants and Petone shopping precinct. Immediately adjacent to Petone Beach. 5 minutes to Lower Hutt City and Westfield Shopping Town. 10 minutes to Wellington City, Interisland Ferry terminals, Te Papa, the Westpac Stadium and other leading attractions. 20 minutes to Wellington Airport. |
