Crabtree House & Crabtree River Cottages comprises of 4 fully self contained cottages located between Mountain River and Crabtree River in the beautiful Huon Valley just 25 minutes from Hobart. We are rated 4 star self contained by AAA ( same as four and half in a hosted B&B) and are within minutes of restaurants wineries and 40 minutes from the Tahune Air Walk. Crabtree House is where The Heritage Suite and The Loft are located. Crabtree House is a Heritage listed country homestead built in 1840 with Huon Pine windows and King Billy Pine doors. Built by shipwrights it is all held together by wooden pegs, very unique. It is set in 2.5 acres of English gardens and both the Heritage Suite and the Loft have large decks overlooking the mountains and Crabtree River. Both have that special luxury, yet historic feel. Our guests love them that is why we won the People's Choice Award. Crabtree River Cottages are located right on Crabtree River and are blessed with Norman the Platypus, The Kelly Gang - 10 Mallard ducks that came up river and discovered a duck utopia and have stayed. Most guests mention how much they love the ducks in our guest books. The cottages are designed to blend in with historic Crabtree House and were approved by the Heritage Council. Both Emily and Eliza Cottage have spas, fireplaces and are luxuriously appointed. Just relax on the large decks and view the river and the wildlife. |

The Loft (2 or 4 guests)
Rates are for 2 adults. Maximum occupancy is 4 adults or 2 adults and two children. Bedding configuration is a queen size bed and either two singles or a King Size configeration. A large two way bathroom services both couples. Our largest and best Rates are for 2 people. Extra adults $50.00. Extra children $50.00. The room caters for a maximum of 4 adults, and a maximum of 2 children but cannot exceed 4 guests in total. Available bedding configurations:
