SWISS-GARDEN GOLF RESORT & SPA, DAMAI LAUT is a beautiful 400-acre Beach/Spa/Golf resort, Damai Laut offers more than just Pangkor Island itself. Built on a peninsular of lush tropical forestation and surrounded by the Straits of Malacca. The resort offers a 4-star, 300-room beach-fronting hotel, Balinese Samsara Spa, holiday apartments, luxury bungalows and a 18-hole championship golf course designed by Ronald Fream of USA. To further explain our resort positioning, the resort is perched on a hill slope, 250 feet above sea level and distance from the beach to the foot of the hill is 450 feet. The fact that we are sheltered by the islands of Pangkor that fronts the Straits of Malacca, we can assure our guests of their safety and peace of mind. Recreation activities are abound, from water sports action like canoeing, boat joyrides, island hopping, snorkelling and cruises. On land there are two floodlit tennis courts, a basketball and beach volleyball court, an archery and telematch ground, and bicycles for hire. The Recreation Centre has sauna and Jacuzzi facilities, a modern gymnasium, a children's playroom, billiards and snooker, video game machines and board games. Jungle walks and fishing can be arranged. Or tour to one of the world's best-managed mangrove swamp forests, quaint Malay villages, traditional vegetable farms, palm oil estates, local historical sites and an amazing cave. The Damai Ballroom of the resort is well equipped to cater for conventions of up to 1,000 people in its pillar-less confines. Six food & beverage outlets offer local, western and Szechuan specialities. The fun pub features live music and separate karaoke rooms. Samsara Spa is the latest addition to the hotel, offering traditional Balinese massage and top-to-toe treatments using only natural herbs and spices to aid in rejuvenation and healing. The golf course - Damai Laut Golf & Country Club is one of the country's most scenic and challenging courses. This 18-hole, par 72 course with a clubhouse and pro shop offers also a very attractive term membership that is affiliated with more than 30 golf club in Malaysia and Thailand. Spread out amidst a tropical landscape, this buggy-tracked course has a playing distance of 6,255 metres. Damai Laut Golf & Country Club offers a 12-bay driving range and golf lessons from a pro for visitors and guests. Special rates are given to hotel guests and senior citizens. The resort is accessible by air through regular scheduled direct flights from Subang Airport, landing at Pangkor Airport, followed by a 15 minute ferry trip to the resort jetty. It is also accessible by road from Kuala Lumpur or Penang via the North-South Expressway. Limousine transfers can be pre-arranged for convenience. |
