| Getting There |
Bega is located 450kms south of Sydney; and 630km north of Melbourne on the Princess Highway and 220km south of Canberra on the Snowy Mountains Highway. When entering Bega from the north you travel down the main street of Bega (Carp St) until you reach the historic Bega Court House, turn right, and proceed up the hill and you will see the Bega Village on your left hand side before the BP Service Station. When travelling from Sydney during peak summer and easter periods we recommend that you travel through the National Capital, Canberra to get to Bega to avoid possible delays. From the south on the Princess Highway we are located on the right hand side beside the BP service station. Dysons Coaches and Premier Motor Service coaches all stop outside the entrance to the Bega Village. Countrylink Coaches arrive and depart from Zingle Place which is one minutes walk to the motel. Daily air services with REX land at the Merimbula Airport which is 30km south of Bega. Taxis and hire cars are available from the airport. |

The Sapphire Coast has a number of well known attractions like the Bega Cheese Factory and Heritage Centre, Bega's Grevillea Winery, Merimbula's Magic Mountain, the Eden Killer Whale Museum and of course the great choice of local beaches and National Parks. Your host's at the Bega Village can also draw on over twenty years of local knowledge to direct you to some attractions on the Sapphire Coast like game fishing with Good Times Fishing Charters out of Tathra, the Pinnicles, Nelson's Lagoon, and a number of excellent local golf courses. |
