Situated on our private, 109-acre Yanuca Island, the Resort is surrounded by pristine white beaches, turquoise lagoons, and swaying palm trees, offering the vacationer of any age a truly tropical escape. Conveniently connected to the mainland by a causeway bridge, the Resort's layout draws inspiration from contemporary Fijian themes. Our recently refurbished rooms are modern in design, with earthy colours and soft lighting creating a serene South Pacific ambience. All this is complemented by our people, who are among the friendliest in the world. In July 2005, all 436 room renovations were completed. The new Ratu Makutu Events Centre has been completed, and the new CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La, which is the largest and most luxurious private spa in Fiji, opened in October 2007. ***RESTAURANTS & BARS*** **Beach Bar & Grill** Cuisine: Light menu, with vegetarian options The perfect casual dining outlet, located right on the beachfront. BBG as it is affectionately known serves a light menu consisting of salads, sandwiches and grills and opens for lunch and dinner only. **Lagoon Terrace** Cuisine: International, with vegetarian options Our international themed restaurant where everyday you can enjoy a Full American Breakfast spread whilst overlooking the resort's spectacular lagoon in this restaurant. Also serves lunch and dinner, with themed nightly buffet every evening. **Takali Restaurant & Bar** Cuisine: Asian & Seafood, with vegetarian options Boasting panoramic views of the ocean from its location on the water's edge, this restaurant specialises in Asian and Seafood delicacies, and whilst you wait for dinner to be served, you can enjoy a tropical cocktail or two at the restaurant's bar. Takali Terrace also serves as a second breakfast venue daily. **Kalevu Restaurant** Cuisine: Speciality with vegetarian options The resort's Speciality restaurant where a live band entertains each evening. Open everyday except Sundays. **Bilo Bar** Cuisine: Bar This beachfront bar offers the best sunset vantage point and serves icy cold beers and your choice of cocktails. **Black Marlin Bar & Bistro** Cuisine: Bar & Bistro This bar is the centre of action every night with a DJ and resident band. The Bistro section also serves a great a-la-carte menu for dinner. Business Facilities***Ratu Makutu Events Centre***The Ratu Makutu Events Centre is the newest meeting facility at the Shangri-la's Fijian Resort & Spa and the largest stand-alone meeting facility of any hotel in Fiji. The centre has 648-square-metres of indoor meeting space and caters for groups of up to 650 persons for meetings and functions. Based on traditional Fijian architecture the facility features high ceilings and spacious function areas overlooking the golf course and rara(lawn). While creating a traditional fijian ambience, evident in its high ceilings and wooden vesi beams, the centre offers a practical, modern and aesthetic design catering for any type of meeting or function. ***DAVUI HALL*** Our existing 323sqm conference facility, the Davui Hall, is situated in a secluded location, overlooking the Peter Thompson designed 9-hole executive golf course. The Davui Hall also has a separate secretariat office and smaller break-out meeting room, adding to it's versatility. ***DAVUI EVENT CENTRE*** The new F$11M Davui Event Centre will be situated adjacent to the Davui Hall. To open in mid 2006, the 650sqm centre will be contemporary Fijian in design and furnished with the latest audio and visual techonology and technical facilities meeting the modern-day demands of the conference and incentives market. ***PAVILLION*** Overlooking the golf course, and with a height of 6m in the centre and 3m on the lower edges, the Pavilion is divisible into three areas to suit client requirements and to add to the Pavilion's versatility, we also have a set of five (5m x 5m) mobile tents. |

Set on the 109-acre private island of Yanuca and linked by a causeway to the mainland, Shangri-La’ s Fijian Resort is only 45 minutes from Nadi International Airport. Please contact a Reservations Agent to arrange a limosuine pick up otherwise taxis are available just outside the departure terminal. |

***RECREATION*** The resort offers a wealth of choices for the entire family and is ideal for any corporate event. From standard facilities associated with any international resort such as three freshwater pools, a 9-hole executive golf course designed by British Golf Open winner Peter Thompson, to four floodlit tennis courts to a gymnasium. Our comprehensive seas sports centre offers an extensive range of water based recreational activities from snorkelling in and around the lagoon to deep sea fishing excursions and scuba PADI courses. ***LEISURE ACTIVITIES*** The resort recommends our leisure activities, suitable for all ages, for guests who by way of recreation prefer a more relaxed mode. We recommend booking in advance for these leisure activities. **Morning Walk** Frequency : 6am daily Greet the freshness of each morning, as you partake in a guided morning walk around the island. Enjoy a true island experience as you walk about getting a feel of our natural island setting. **Nature Walk** Frequency : 11am daily For nature lovers, you get the opportunity to walk around the natural botanical gardens of the resort daily. Learn about native plants and its historical uses to generations of Fijians over time. **Fish House Building** Frequency : Tuesdays & Thursdays between 2pm - 4pm Would you like to build your own fish house? The resort has an on-going reef protection environment program that allows guests to interact directly with the natural environment by partaking in fish house building every week. Come and help us preserve the natural marine environment of Yanuca Island (surcharge). **Board Games** Frequency : Daily between 10am - 2pm We have a range of board games to keep the mind rolling and twisting as you keep your mind enthusiastically entertained with these great board games. |
