Fyffe on Riccarton Motor Lodge is a new modern property, offering 16 Qualmark rated '4-Star Plus', luxuriously appointed units. These are comprised of 7 studio units, 4 executive spa studio units, 2 One-bedroom suites and 3 Two-bedroom suites. All our units are non-smoking, have super-king/super-single beds, wireless broadband and dial-up internet access, digital SKY television, stereo/DVD systems with free use of DVD library, and several have relaxing spa baths, and private courtyards and balconies for your comfort and relaxation. Our convenient location on Riccarton Road means that we are central to travellers coming into Christchurch from the North, South and West, and are only a short walk or drive from the Airport, Railway Station, Central City, Public Hospital, Canterbury University, College of Education, Westpac Trust Events Centre and Addington and Riccarton Racecourses. A short stroll will also take you to Westfield Riccarton Mall, the biggest shopping centre in Christchurch, Bush Inn shopping centre and several Restaurants and Cafes. Or you can catch a bus to the City with a bus stop located just outside our gate or take the free shuttle to the Casino. Our units are fitted with quality Italian furniture and the modern decor of warm earthy tones and original oil paintings of local Christchurch scenes, provides a relaxing and 'feel at home' atmosphere for our guests. | Getting There |
There are several modes of transport available within the Christchurch area for the traveller. Any of these will bring you directly to Fyffe on Riccarton Motor Lodge. If you are travelling by car, from the: NORTH - turn right into Johns Road at the big Shell Service Station in Belfast, travel along this Road until reaching the roundabout at the intersection at the Airport, turn left into Memorial Avenue, turn right into Clyde Road, turn left into Riccarton Road and we are the second Motel on the left. SOUTH-travel along the Main South Road, which will lead into the top of Riccarton Road, we are approximately 1 kilometre down the Road, and are the second Motel passed Clyde Road on the left. WEST - travel along Yaldhurst Road into the top of Riccarton Road, and we are 1 kilometre down on the left, the second Motel passed Clyde Road. |

| Things To Do |
Christchurch is called the "Garden City" and the reason for this being the beauty and naturalness of the many public gardens and parks, and in this City, there are unlimited tourist attractions and activities to enjoy. The Antartic Centre located by the Airport provides a comprehensive presentation of 'Antartic Life' and a thrill-seeking ride in the Haggland, is not to be missed. And the latest attraction is the 'Little Blue Penguins' live in New Zealand's first combined indoor/outdoor penguin viewing area. The Tram is an ideal way to explore the 'must see' attractions of the inner City and the 360 degree, panoramic views from the Gondola as it ascends/decends the Port Hills, is stunning. Punting in the Park provides an effortless and relaxing way to meander along the Avon River and observe the beauty of the Botanic Gardens. Cathedral Square is the focal point of Christchurch with the majestic Cathedral, symbolic monument, i-site and other diverse attractions, not to mention the vast array of coffee and culinary houses, to tempt the tourist and locals, alike. Christchurch is a City rich in art and history and this is reflected in the old and preserved buildings, the Arts Centre, Art Gallery, Museum and many other restored and well maintained architecture. Orana Wildlife Park and Willowbank Wildlife Reserve provide families visiting the City, with a closer look at the animals in their favoured habitat. Christchurch is abundant in recreational and sporting facilities with the area offering visitors a wide choice in venues. There are numerous Sporting venues, Golf courses, and Ski fields, within a close radius of the City.
