NEED ETA - RECEPTION CLOSES 9PM We are a small 25 roomed family run central city hotel. All rooms are spacious, have ensuite bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities, mini bars, radio, TV, phone and alarm clock, iron and ironingboard and hair dryer. We offer a great Continental Breakfast Buffet seven mornings. Located in our guest lounge is a high speed guest computer and we can offer wireless hi-speed internet access throughout the Hotel. We also offer guaranteed FREE guest car parking right at our front door on a one car park per room basis. Parking for larger vehicles may be possible please contact the Hotel to see if this can be arranged. Located in the trendy Cuba Quarter we are within easy walking distance of most major attractions from Te Papa to the Cable Car ,we are also situated on a main bus route and the ferry terminal is aproximately a 10 minute drive straight down Willis Street, no need to fight the one way system! The Hotel is ideally situated for easy access to and from the motorway. We look forward to welcoming you to Hotel Willis and Wellington. |

| Getting There |
If you are arriving by car then come up Victoria Street (second lights at end of motorway Airport City Centre off ramp ) this avoids the one way system. Drive right to the top, stay in the middle lane and turn right onto Webb Street. Make sure you are in the right hand lane! From here you can drive straight through the lights into our car park. If travelling from the airport follow City Centre and Hutt Valley signs, once past the War Memorial turn left into Taranaki Street and immediately right into Webb Street. Proceed straight down Webb street to the lights, ensure you are in the right hand lane and drive straight across the lights and into our car park. If arriving in Wellington by Ferry, follow the waterfront into the city turn right into Taranaki Street direction Brooklyn, drive up Taranaki Street and turn right into Webb Street just passed the war memorial, drive down Webb Street, we are located at the intersection of Webb and Willis. Otherwise, a taxi from the airport is about NZD26.00, a shuttle costs $16.00 for the first person and $6.00 for every subsequent person, from the ferry NZD20.00, and from the train station and bus depot NZD10.00 depending on the time of day and traffic conditions. You can also catch a number 7 or 8 bus to the Hotel, the bus stops right outside the Hotel and cost $1.80 from the railway station. The bus stop is called Brooklyn Rd at Webb Street. |

GUARANTEED FREE off-street parking adjacent to the hotel with excellent security lighting and visible from many of our rooms. We offer free car parking on a one car per room basis extra parking may be available on request at a charge of $10.00 per day or part there of. Owners of larger vehicles need to contact the Hotel prior to booking to check availability. |

Te Papa the national museum is open seven days a week and a must do when visiting Wellington. Courtenay Place is the entertainment street of the country, a hive of activity after dark. Wellington is seen as the cultural capital of New Zealand and there is always an exhibition or a show to see, we are happy to provide you with information when you arrive. Of course as the capital Wellington also offers daily free guided tours of Parliament. The Cable Car takes you from the city to the Botanic Gardens, Mt Victoria allows for views over the whole city, and harbour cruises and visits to Mana Island are a must do. Shop till you drop in one of the four downtown sectors or promenade along Oriental bay. Wellington offers a diverse range of attraction from museums to theatre from extreme sports to bush walks, from nature encounters with the seals to the chance of seeing a Kiwi at the Karori Wildlife Sanctuary. Wellington is more than just a stop over on route to and from the ferry. Wellington will entertain you both night and day. |
