Mountain View Motel containing 11 units is ideally situated - just a 5 minute walk to the Lake and 10 minutes to town, giving us a nice quiet location. All units are non-smoking with Sky TV, telephone, electric blankets, heaters, microwaves, hair dryers, irons & ironing boards. With the exception of our ground floor units, all units have awesome views of the lake and snow-capped mountains. We offer a freshly prepared Continental in-room breakfast and ample off-street parking; Booking service for local attractions and free pick-up service from Airport & Coach Terminal is available. Guest laundry facility and children's playground. |

Travelling from North: When you approach the one and only set of traffic lights in the main street turn left into Heu Heu St then through the roundabout go approx 4 blocks and turn right into Fletcher St. Motel is on the right. Travelling from South: Coming along Lake Terrace (main st) at the fire station turn right into Rifle Range Rd, left into Roberts St and right into Fletcher St. Mountain View Motel is on left. Taupo Airport is appoximately a 10 minute drive. Coach Terminal in Gascoigne Street would be approx 5 minute drive. |

| Things To Do |
Our first priority at Mountain View is to help our guests in any way we can to have an enjoyable stay with us and a memorable visit to Lake Taupo. Our spacious 2-bedroom apartment style units are ideal for organised trout fishing, golfing and sporting groups. However energetic or adventurous you may be there will be numerous activities and attractions to tempt you : Jet boating, sky diving, bungy jumping, kayaking, scenic flights, helicopter flights, scenic & fishing trips, horse riding, snow skiing in the winter months. Walks for all degrees of fitness from strolls along the lakeshore and thermal wonderlands, to the energetic Tongariro Crossing - and later relax in thermal hot pools. Or just laze at the lake or take in some arts & crafts. We are just a short stroll to nearby restaurants, cafes & bars and shops for retail therapy. Many other attractions too numerous to list in the Central Plateau Region and day trips to other interesting places. |
