The Pratale Farmhouse receives its guests in two old manors (Pratale I and PrataleII), surrounded by the beautiful Tuscan countryside, with vineyards sloping gently down to wild shrubs, pines and cypress trees. The buildings have been completely restored and are now divided into several independent apartments, all of which have a separate entrance and an open area to enjoy the quietness and the view of the surrounding landscape. The apartments are provided with central heating for winter time and with all the facilities of modern comfort, yet maintaining the furnishings and spirit of typical Tuscan country houses. At the Farmhouse the guests will find a bowling lane, two swimming pools, one for children and one for adults, a Laundromat, a payphone, mountain bikes and TV sets. From Pratale, located on the hills near Florence and only fifteen minutes away from the city, many excursions can be made to the incomparable places of cultural and tourist interest; since the estate is a short distance from the highway Florence-Siena. In the village of Sambuca, 3 km away from Pratale, are shops, art & craft studios. In close proximity lies the ancient abbey of Badia a Passignano, worth are seeing its cloister and crypt, dating back to the year 1000. Pratale I: Located on a pretty hillside near Badia a Passignano, the Fattoria Pratale is a pearl of the hospitality of the Chianti area. The residential complex is divided on sixteen independent apartments, tastefully furnished, that look out on the swimming pool and on the vineyards of the valley below. The nearby Firenze-Siena highway gives easy access to Tuscany's artistic treasures, while the town of Sambuca, 3 km far away from the Farm, has grocery stores and artisan's shops. Near the Farm there are many first-rate restaurants that propose Tuscan cuisine. The market that takes place every Thursday morning in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa is worth visiting, as well as the church of Badia a Passignano, with its cloister and its crypt that dates to the year 1000. Pratale II: Old farmhouse divided into 6 apartaments, with private pool. It is connected to Pratale “1” with a country road of about 800 m. |
