Visitors from all over the world come to Kangaroo Island for a true, unspoilt Australian experience. We invite you to enjoy the breath-taking views that abound, explore the abundance of flora and fauna that inhabit the hotel’s surroundings. Watch the feeding of the Pelicans on the foreshore in front of the hotel or take in a peaceful nature hike. After dinner go for a self-guided tour around the hotel grounds watching the wallabies grazing on the flats and the possums in the trees, or take in a Nocturnal tour to see all this plus kangaroos and the nightly penguin parade in Penneshaw. A nature-lovers paradise, American River is best known for its American River Oysters, recreational fishing and the quiet waters of Pelican Lagoon Aquatic Reserve providing sanctuary for the large population of waterbirds; from the sun rising over the waters, to relaxing at dusk on our alfresco terrace watching the families of gliding waterbirds heading for shore whilst the Tammar wallabies graze nearby. At the end of the day dinner in Reflections restaurant is sure to be a highlight of your visit. Our Head Chef, using fresh local produce, has created a mouth watering menu of culinary delights, with an emphasis on Island and Australian delicacies. Featuring locally farmed oysters, King George Whiting, Ligurian Honey and sheep’s yoghurt and cheeses complimented by a large selection local wines. | Getting There |
Located on the eastern side of Kangaroo Island in the Township of American River. American River is quiet even by Kangaroo Island standards. From the ferry or airport terminal the drive to American River, where All Seasons Kangaroo Island Lodge is situated, is 30 minutes. From the American River turnoff on the Penneshaw - Kingscote Road, drive straight ahead - We are located on the left hand side Scenic Drive, between Bayview Road and Ryberg Road. For ferry, coach or shuttle bookings please check with one of our friendly Reservations staff or Sealink 13 13 01. Rex flies to the Island daily 13 17 13. Hertz 13 30 39 and Budget 1300 362 848 have hire cars available. |

| Things To Do |
Watch the daily pelican feeding at 9am on the foreshore. Take in a peaceful nature hike on one of the treks located nearby. Spend your day touring the island (155Km long - don't underestimate how much time you'll need) to see the many natural attractions for which Kangaroo Island is justly famous. After dinner at the hotel, go for a walk around American River and see the wallabies grazing on the roadside near the hotel and look for possums in the trees; or take a nocturnal tour to see all this plus the nightly penguin parade. |
