Winter mountain activities include ski and snowboard school, avalanche awareness clinics, and snow biking. Summer mountain activities include glacier skiing and snowboarding, mountain biking, bear viewing / eco-tours, gondola rides, and hiking. Skiing / Snowboarding One of the many things that make Whistler Resort so special is two unbelievable mountains - Whistler and Blackcomb. Side by side, they represent over 8,000 acres of terrain to ski and snowboard, rising a mile above the valley of Whistler. Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains offer unforgettable skiing and snowboarding winter, spring and summer. WHY SKI OR SNOWBOARD WHISTLER BLACKCOMB? The answer is easy. Whistler Blackcomb offers the greatest vertical/usable terrain for skiing/riding and other winter sports in North America. The Mountains are consistently ranked in the top 5 for North American resorts selected by SKI, SKIING, Powder, and TransWorld Snowboarding magazines. The Mountains offer the best parks & pipes and the largest above-tree-line terrain and bowls in North America. Then there is the long ski season with spring skiing and riding until mid-June. Whistler Blackcomb is the only resort in North America where you can ski or ride on a glacier, right in the heart of the British Columbia mountains. |
