Recently awarded a Green Star Rating by AAA Tourism, the Thredbo Alpine Hotel is in the heart of the village. It is the one you can see as wander around the mountain, just metres from the base of the Kosciuszko Express Chairlift. The Hotel is a boutique property with an alluring sense of alpine culture - it has great character, charm and warmth. Getting There	Driving: Thredbo is around five hours' drive from Sydney or Melbourne, and most of the drive is on dual carriage highway. The Kosciuszko Alpine Way between Thredbo and Jindabyne is clear of snow at most times during winter, so it is easily accessed by two wheel drive vehicle. Depending on conditions, every now and then snow chains may be required. These can be hired from most service stations in Jindabyne and Cooma. Coach: Daily services link Thredbo to most major centres.

Things To Do	Winter Sports include downhill snow skiing and boarding, snow shoe tours and cross country ski touring. Summer activities include: Hiking to the top of Australia and many other walks, Scenic Chairlift rides, Bobsled, Golf on Australia's highest course, Tennis, Mountain biking, White water rafting, horse riding, Fly fishing and much more. Thredbo has a great selection of bars and restaurants, the hotel is in the middle of all the action.
