Getting There From M62 West
Exit junction 26 - exit slip road immediately after leaving motorway (sign posted A58). At roundabout take 2nd exit prior to M606 (signposted Oakenshaw and Low Moor) with golf course on left. Follow road for approximately 2 miles. After passing petrol station - take 2nd turning left (Common Road) - The Guide Post is 200 metres on the right hand side.

From M62 East
Exit junction 26 - at roundabout take 5th exit (signposted Oakenshaw and Low Moor) with golf course on left. Follow road for approximately 2 miles. After passing petrol station - take 2nd turning left (Common Road) - The Guide Post is 200 metres on the right hand side.


From Bradford
Follow signs for M606. At M606 roundabout take 3rd exit (Little Chef on right). At next roundabout take first exit (Cleckheaton Road). Follow road for approximately 1/2 mile - turn right at bollard onto Common Road - The Guide Post is 200 metres on the right hand side.

Haworth - 'Bronte Country'
Visitors can tour the Georgian Parsonage Museum, home to the Brontes, which contains a vast collection of their artefacts and also see the village church where most of their family are buried. Saltaire
Saltaire is a unique and beautiful Victorian model village which has recently achieved world heritage status. Built between 1851 and 1876 Titus Salt created 'a paradise on the sylvan banks of the Aire.' Much of the village still remains as it did when Titus Salt died in 1876. The mill now houses the world's largest collection of work by David Hockney. A short trip up the Victorian tramway and the exhilarating moorland to Shipley Glen can also be enjoyed. TV & Film
Emmerdale Farm was originally filmed in Esholt (outskirts of Bradford) and the Woolpack still remains. Heartbeat filmed in Goathland and Last of the Summer Wine filmed in Holmfirth are also within easy reach from the Guidepost. In the genre of film, the Railway Children, Yanks and Billy Liar were all filmed in the surrounding area.

Shopping
Bradford-The Kirkgate Centre houses a wide range of top high street names and boasts over 70 shops. Bradfords Wool Exchange has been refurbished and transformed into a stylish retail centre, including Waterstones bookshop and Starbucks Coffee Shop. The centre also has a number of markets which sell fresh produce as well as fashionable clothing and footwear.
Leeds-The Guide Post Hotel makes an ideal location to shop at the 'Knightbridge of the North'. In the spectacular Victoria Quarter, Harvey Nicks designer shops and pavement cafes nestle together very closely in this 24 hour city. The Corn Exchange houses more designer shops under a 19th Century domed roof. Traditional shops such as Marks and Spencer,Lewis and Debenhams are found on the Headrow and Briggate.
