Doria Grand Hotel (Top-class 4-stars) is located in the heart of the Milan business district, in a quiet tree-lined avenue with restricted traffic parallel to Corso Buenos Aires, one of the most important shopping streets in Europe, just twenty minutes from Linate airport and forty-five minutes from Milan Malpensa. Just a stone’s throw from Central Station, from the three Milanese underground lines and from the main tourist attractions, the hotel is an ideal choice both for those travelling on business and for those who want to spend a pleasant relaxing and comfortable holiday. Its décor typical of the early 20th century and the refinement of its details make this hotel particularly charming. All of its 124 rooms are tastefully furnished with bathrooms in Carrara marble and provide all the basic comforts for the well-being of its Guests, such as the fine bedding in fresh linen; all the Suites have "Jacuzzis". Two floors (Deluxe) of rooms are fitted out with top-class services (well-stocked mini-bar and a generous line of courtesy products, trouser press, kettle together with a selection of fine tisanes, Internet access, free newspapers and coffee-break service), while four floors are reserved for non-smokers. A quiet, secluded Internet Point is available to satisfy the needs of the most demanding Customers. Doria Grand Hotel’s range of services is completed by the “Il Capriccio" Restaurant, open to anyone wishing to spend a pleasant evening or to organise a business lunch in an elegant and quiet environment, offering a healthy and natural cuisine, and by the Caffè Doria, a sophisticated English-style Bar which organises jazz evenings that are open to the public, with an extensive programme of events and where the visitor can enjoy a relaxing break. The Dining-room is very comfortable and relaxing: the full-wall "trompe-l’oeil" decorations depicting an ever-green garden, the background music of a spectacular fountain and the fir beams in the ceiling create a delightful atmosphere. The Conference Area consists of three Meeting Rooms, two of which are inter-communicating through a removable partition; they are fitted out with modern equipment, including a fixed amplification system, audio and video recording, projection for slides and video, over-head projectors, closed-circuit television, secretarial room, direct telephone line, air conditioning and Internet access. In an open area, called the Archi Room, many events can be organised, such as press conferences, courses, ceremonies and customised wedding banquets. |
