Woongarra Motel is situated beside the Camden Haven River at North Haven in the Greater Port Macquarie Region. Woongarrra, is the Aboriginal word meaning “sleeping place”. The motel is not a resort, rather a sleeping place, creating a peaceful base from which to explore the surrounding region.

There a varying room types, accommodating for both the couple and family groups of travellers, ranging from family units, standard rooms, and deluxe rooms.

There is a well kept communal outdoor area with covered barbeque facilities, a swimming pool and poolside furnishings for guests use. There is also an onsite guest laundry available.

A popular hotspot amongst locals, the North Haven Bowling Club is just a short stroll along the esplanade from the motel. They have fantastic menu options to meet any passing craving at reasonable prices.

Check In Instructions Check-in is available from 1.30pm onwards. Reception is open from 7.30am-9.00pm. There is a night bell at the front of reception for late arrivals.

Getting There Woongarra Motel is on the mid North coast of New South Wales, roughly half way between Taree and Port Macquarie.

When travelling by car from Sydney- When approaching Kew, turn right off the Pacific Highway towards the coast, onto Ocean Drive. Travel along Ocean Drive to Laurieton (approximately 7kms), turning left before you enter the town at the intersection where signs point to Port Macquarie. Follow the road across the bridge to North Haven. Continue through North Haven, past the shops and straight through the roundabout intersection. Don’t turn left to Port Macquarie. You’ll find Woongarra Motel 200m past the roundabout on the left, next to the take away store.

You can also come from Sydney or Brisbane by Countrylink train to Kendall or air conditioned coach to Kew. Alternatively you can fly with Qantaslink or Virgin Airlines into Port Macquarie from Sydney.

When travelling from Port Macquarie – follow Ocean Drive Road for approximately 28 kms until you reach North Haven, turn left at the roundabout. 200m along you will find the Woongarra Motel, located on your left hand side.
Parking We have one complimentary parking space for each room. All cars must park nose in facing rooms. On-street parking is also available for visitors.
Things To Do Woongarra Motel is located 50m away from charter fishing boats and fishing equipment stores, were you will find everything you need to catch the ‘big one’.
Beautiful sandy beaches are just a short stroll from the motel, with great conditions for both surfing and swimming. Other key places of interest include:
