From North follow Highway 3 to Eliot Street (McDonalds on corner). Turn right and head to the sea . Turn left on to Molesworth Street, pass the Wind Wand on your right and turn left on to Queen Street at the Cenotaph. Bella Vista Motel is located next to Govett Brewster Art Gallery on Queen Street. From South continue past McDonalds to the sea and turn left on to Molesworth Street. Directions then the same as above. |

Rhododendron Festival time is 31st October until 9th November, when there are many beautiful gardens on display as well as guest speakers, demonstrations and other related activities. February each years sees AMERICARNA come to New Plymouth with 100's of fabulous classic American cars parading the streets and on display. The World Triathlon series comes to New Plymouth every year and will be held in April 2009. Our famous Festival of the Lights begins on 13th December with numerous evening music concerts in Pukekura Park until the middle of February. Mid March is the NZ Surf Lifesaving Champs. New Plymouth is the chosen venue every year for WOMAD - World of Music Arts & Dance. Next date for this is March 14 15 & 16 2009. |
