Steeped in heritage and culture, and with a splash of pomp and pageantry, Ottawa, one of the world’s most beautiful capitals, extends a warm Canadian welcome to more than five million visitors each year. No longer just a “government town,” Ottawa has evolved into a cosmopolitan capital of appealing neighbourhoods with many interesting sights, sounds and tastes. Where else will you see North America’s only changing of the guard, modelled on the ceremony at London’s Buckingham Palace? What about one million colourful tulips—a gift from the Dutch—in bloom each spring? How about a working farm right in the heart of a vibrant capital? This former logging town also lays claim to the world’s longest skating rink in winter. Check out Samuel de Champlain’s astrolabe, a rare 17th-century navigational instrument belonging to the explorer, one of the many artifacts on display at the Canadian Museum of Civilization. Critique famous Canadian works of art, historic and contemporary, at the stunning National Gallery of Canada. Or drop by the historic ByWard Market, Canada’s oldest operating farmers’ market, to taste a mouth-watering BeaverTail®. So come home to Delta Ottawa Hotel and Suites. Indulge your senses in an elegant Signature Club guest room, with its choice amenities including cozy terry cloth bathrobes and feather-soft pillows and duvets. Unwind in the tranquil Signature Club Lounge with a nightcap from the honour bar, or keep connected with high-speed Internet access. Tantalize your taste buds with grilled Chilean sea bass with yogurt sauce or fresh tuna and tomato stew at the ever-elegant Capital Dining Room, a gathering place for politicians alike. Splash down our 115-foot heated indoor waterslide. Whether you seek a romantic interlude, a family adventure or just some quiet time, our special packages promise an unforgettable experience. |
